InVitamin Green Review

It may sound weird but I couldn’t wait to get the green inVitamin Charcoal powder for my teeth!  I’ve heard so much about the benefits of charcoal powder. Activated charcoal actually balances the pH in the mouth and kills the bad bacteria that can cause tooth decay and gingivitis.  It also helps whiten teeth!  I also received their coconut oil and baking soda deodorant cream, as well as a WooBamboo toothbrush.  InVitamin is a small company that started in 2011 with a mission to provide natural household and personal care products for the entire family.  Focusing on natural, organic and biodegradeable-their aim is to have a product line that their children would be proud of-And I just love that!

It has been a pleasure working with inVitamin.  You may just see more green products from them on my page!  I love that they personally make their products in small batches and that they care about the next generation.  Ok, so want to know what I thought about their goodies?  Well keep reading!

Natural Tooth & Gum Powder w/Activated Charcoal-

So first off, it may seem counterintuitive to put charcoal on your teeth to clean and whiten but it isn’t.  The green powder just comes in a jar and you just get your toothbrush wet and dip it into the powder.  Then brush away.  I brushed for 2 minutes.  Then rinsed really well with water.  When you’re brushing your teeth will be black and it will feel like it’s taking the moisture out of your mouth.  But, once you’ve rinsed you’re teeth will feel so amazing-such a clean feeling!  The charcoal powder I received does have spearmint in it-but I couldn’t really distinguish it too much-not that it mattered really.  I just loved how clean my teeth felt and fresh!  I’ve been using it for over a month and can tell a difference already.  My teeth always feel cleaner throughout the day and they look whiter-serioulsy and shiny.  I’ve been brushing with it everyday.  I can’t wait to continue using it, for even more whitening results.  I highly recommend for your overall dental regimen to get this!  My teeth are at a whole new level thanks to it.  Plus, it’s literally such a good deal- $13 for both the tooth powder and WooBamboo toothbrush or $9 for just the tooth powder.

WooBamboo Toothbrush-

The toothbrush really speaks for itself-no more plastic!  But instead it is made with beautiful bamboo.  Trust me, you’re going to feel so eco-chic with this toothbrush.  I’m already thinking it will make great stocking stuffers!  $5

Natural Coconut Oil + Baking Soda Deodorant-

I was a little skeptical about trying this deodorant.  Anyone in the green community knows finding a green deodorant is hard and almost at times impossible…although I have found a few I love and guess what?  I’m adding this one to the list!  The deodorant literally only has 5 ingredients- Organic Coconut Oil, Vitamin E, Sugar, Baking Soda, and Beeswax.  One of the ingredients I found interesting was sugar, I don’t think I’ve seen that in a deodorant yet.  It comes in a jar and is a little hard at first touch, but once you rub it between your fingers it glides on smoothly.  This particular deodorant doesn’t have a smell, other than the coconut oil, but they do have some natural mineral deodorants that come in stick form that are made with essential oils.  Anyways, it worked and that’s saying a lot for this sweaty girl.  I didn’t smell anything and I didn’t have any irritation.  I know deodorants are different for everyone-it’s definitely not a one size fits all.  But if you have had a hard time finding a deodorant that doesn’t cause irritation and works-this may be just your ticket!  It retails for $6.

Do you use the tooth & gum powder in addition to the Uncle Harry’s paste?

Hi Jennifer! I use the Uncle Harry’s toothpaste in the morning-freshens breath. Then I use the tooth and gum powder at night. 🙂
