Glowing Beets

This is my third Glowing Beet’s Box and let me tell ya, they just keep getting better!  I’ve seriously loved everything in this little box.  One thing that I like about Glowing Beets is it’s variety.  Each month you get something different, and it’s so fun to try out all the new brands.  Here’s a little more info. on the Glowing Beet’s Beauty Box.

Why Glowing Beets?  Well, for starters they include high quality indie brands and they make it so simple.  Their website alone is so easy to navigate and browse.  They have one box, it’s $29.95-a steal for high end green beauty products.  The boxes are all the same, but may vary slightly.  For ex. some boxes may get a different lipstick color, but they’re all from the same brand.  All boxes are shipped at the end of the month once you’re a subscriber, and if you order during the month it will be shipped out within a few days, up until the 15th of the month.  You can sign up for one box, otherwise you will be billed monthly.

I love the concept of Glowing Beets for those who are new to the green beauty scene.  They give you a good selection of products, so you’re able to test them out without making a big commitment at first.  They also offer special discounts to those brands if you do like them-how cool is that?!  Glowing Beets does the research for the best product so you don’t have too.  They include a card in each box that lists what the products are.  I have received two boxes from them and I’ve loved each of them!

December Box Review-

Immortelle & Myrrh Facial Serum-

What doesn’t this serum do?  I’m still trying to figure it out.  From bringing moisture to the skin, fading scars, healing stretch marks, and helping fade the appearance of blemishes-this is your one stop facial oil.  Even better, it melts right into your skin leaving behind the intoxicating smell of frankincense.  My skin loved it!  Some oils can leave behind that greasy residue but not this one.  It just leaves your skin feeling so smooth and hydrated.  I love that it includes the ingredient squalene.  Squalene can come from different sources but this squalene is from olives.  It is known for resembling our own natural skin oil.  It is a powerful anti-oxidant known for creating cell turnover, fading spots on the skin and decreasing fine lines.  I was so excited to see it in this facial serum!  $48

Sweet Emotions Soaptions & Potions Pumpkin Facial Mask-

Ohh, this mask…where do I start?!  Well, first it smells like pumpkin goodness.  It’s such an active mask, everything is so fresh.  There’s only 7 ingredients in this baby and they get the job done.  My skin soaked it right up.  I left the mask on for 20 minutes and when I removed it, I was left with glowing, even skin.  My skin did’t feel dry at all either.  I definitely recommend this mask for anyone who might irritate easily with other masks, as this one is so soothing.  It helps draw out impurities with the clay, but not in a drying way, which I love!  Last month there was a pumpkin soap bar included in the box, also from Sweet Emotions Soaptions & Potions.  So far this line has got me coming back for more!  $18.95

Little Barn Apothecary Honeysuckle + Grapefruit Body Oil-

This body oil smells divine.  Honeysuckle and grapefruit, need I say more?  This body oil leaves your skin moisturized but not greasy.  You end up with perfectly hydrated skin and smell so good.  I apply this post shower and let the oil melt right into my skin.  I love that the oil comes in a glass container too.  There’s not much else to say about this oil, you all will love it and need it!  $34

Grateful Naturals Pure Botanical Lip Balm-

This lip balm moisturizes with just 5 ingredients.  A blend of coconut oil, shea butter, almond oil, beeswax and essential oil, this lip balm is just plain good.  My lip balm came in the scent, honey peppermint, which I’m a fan.  Anything mint sign me up for!  It kept my lips moist but not gunky.  If you’re looking for a lip balm, this may be just your ticket.  They also have it in Vanilla Honeysuckle if mint isn’t your thing.  $4

Zabana Essentials Herbaceous Facial Steamers-

These were so fun to get in my box!  I haven’t tried too many facial steamers from companies.  I usually just make my own little concoction at home.  They’re like little bath bombs but for your face.  You just boil some water, toss in the little cube and put a towel over your head.  Then the magic happens!  The steam opens up your pores, and allows the skin soothing and blemish properties to do it’s work.  The smell is very floral.  Once the fizzing is complete you remove the towel.  Your skin is left feeling dewy and moist.  I then applied a facial serum right after, since my pores were open, my skin soaked it right up.  Such a great spa night ritual and a good girl’s night activity.  $5.95

Sally B’s Healing Hand Butter-

I’m a big fan of Sally B’s products!  I’ve tried a couple of them now that have been in previous Glowing Beet’s Boxes and they did not disappoint.  This healing hand butter is no exception.  It soaks right into your hands leaving them hydrated, but not slimy.  The scent I got was lavender vanilla.  The lavender was a little strong for me, I’m not a huge lavender fan(in small doses) but I still love it for the hydration.  They also have it in Sweet Lemon Ginger and Unscented.  With ingredients like shea butter, jojoba oil and olive oil, your dry hands will be thanking you.  I love that it came in a small container too-perfect for throwing in my purse.  $26
