Ok, since summer is officially here, I think it’s time to review my top picks for bronzers. Who doesn’t want a summer glow? For those of you (me) still sportin’ the winter skin, we’ll need to fake our glow. Cue the bronzer! This is one makeup product I couldn’t live without, a staple indeed. Even if I’m going to workout, and my makeup is minimal, bronzer is for sure going on this mug. With so many out there nowadays, it can seem overwhelming. But don’t worry I’ve got your back! I’ve tested out quite a plethora of natural bronzers, and I’m here to report my findings. Oh and please stay away from all the mainstream bronzers! Filled with chemicals and toxins, not to mention nano-particles. Just grab one of my top bronzer picks instead!
Drum Roll Please…
This puppy offers great pigment, and a natural bronzed look. The pigment is stronger than other bronzers I’ve used, so it’s great for contouring. It is a loose powder, so you have to be careful as far as getting it everywhere. But if you’re not messy, this is your bronzer! It’s also non-comedorgenic, so it won’t clog your pores. Works great if you tap some into the lid, and use a kabuki brush to swirl it around with.
This is a great bronzer for those wanting a more natural look. It offers a great glow along with the bronzer. More of a sun kissed look. Great for those who tend to be on the dry side, since this is a cream bronzer. It’s super easy to blend, and doesn’t look orangey at all, a very forgiving bronzer.
I was so excited to get a bronzer that wasn’t a loose powder. There aren’t a ton of bronzers in the natural market, and then actually finding ones that work can be even more challenging. This gives me the perfect bronzed look with a hint of shimmer. It isn’t highly pigmented, so it just glides over my skin so easily-no patches. It’s free from all the nasties too! Oh and did I mention it retails for $22.95? Yeah, such a good price for a stellar product.
This is a cream bronzer and in stick form. I really love this for a more luminous glow! It blends right into the skin. Great for contouring and giving an overall bronzed look. I apply it straight on my face and then blend it in with my fingers. You can really a achieve a natural glow with this bronzer as well!
This bronzer takes you from winter pale to summer bronze in no time. But with no orangey hue! I really love the bronzed color it gives the skin. It does come in a loose container and contains titanium dioxide, so always hold your breath when applying. You don’t want to breathe in titanium dioxide. It comes in the same great container as the Velluto Pure Powder Foundation does. Making it great for an even application. $35
I really dig this powder bronzer! First off it doesn’t contain any mica or titanium dioxide, which are common ingredients in most natural bronzers. Mica can be irritating to the skin and titanium dioxide is not good when inhaled. So it’s nice not having to think about either one of those. It comes in a little container similar to a dry shampoo. It’s different I just sprinkle some on my big kabuki brush, tap it off and then apply to my face. It gives my skin a great bronzed glow and looks so natural! Definitely a new favorite bronzer for sure. Plus, the price is crazy awesome too at $12.95!
This is a powder bronzer too. It isn’t as heavy as some other bronzers I’ve used. I have the Original Bronze color, but it also comes in lighter color called Light Bronze and a darker color called Sunkissed Bronze. It goes on light and smooth and leaves behind a nice little glow. It’s perfect for everyday wear and gets the job done. I just tap some out onto the lid and swirl my brush in. Then tap excess off and apply on skin. I love the price too. At $12.00 a pop, you can get yourself a blush while you’re at it too!
There you have it, my current top natural bronzer picks! Let me know what you use and why you love it!
