Marie Veronique Review

I had the pleasure of sampling Marie Veronique for quite some time now and I have to tell you the line is amazing!  A lot of people assume I write about everything I receive, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.  The goal for me is to always find products that are not only safe, but perform and wow me.  Well, Marie Veronique has done just that.

Why is their skincare line so different?  For starters they rely heavily on research to determine what is best for your skin and what ingredients actually work.  They really address each skin issue on it’s own.  Their website alone is a wealth of info. from the ingredients they use to the ones they don’t.  Plus, they have a great blog resource on skincare.  They’ve done the leg work for you.  They’re just great skincare that’s here to stay.

So what did I try?  I can hardly keep it in anymore!  Their products speak for themselves.

Replenishing Oil Cleanser-

I have to start the review with their cleanser…because it’s my favorite!!  As in my favorite cleanser ever?  Quite possibly.  You all know I’m crazy for oil cleansers.  This one is in a league of it’s own.  It is an oil but more of a creamy oil.  It comes in a glass pump bottle which makes me love it even more.  I always shake it up before I use it to make sure the product is evenly distributed.  I get my skin slightly damp and then squeeze out a small amount and massage into my skin.  The best part?  It removes not only my face makeup but also my eye makeup-with no stinging!  Yes, a miracle cleanser is what I call it.  After I massage it all in, I then take a warm wash cloth and wipe off.  My skin has never been better…seriously!  It doesn’t dry out my skin at all but helps keep it so balanced.  I’m obsessed with this cleanser and I want everyone to know!  It’s rare as a green beauty blogger that I actually finish a product, but this one…it’s almost gone.  I’m scraping what I can to get it all out.  You all need this…end of story.  $40

Vitamin C+E+Ferulic Serum-

Since I’m pregnant I’m picky about what I use on my skin, retinol being an ingredient I steer clear of.  However, it doesn’t mean I don’t my skincare to suffer.  Thankfully, this serum has vitamin c which helps to build collagen-bye, bye wrinkles.  Plus, it offers some sun and antioxidant protection for day.  I love how light this serum is.  It doesn’t take long to soak in.  I use it before my moisturizer in the morning.  My skin is protected even when I’m pregnant!  $90

Protective Day Oil-

This is the perfect oil to apply after the Vitamin C+E+Ferulic Serum.  It is a great sun protectant for day due to it’s high carotenoid content.  Marie Veronique describes this product so well,

“Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), a special type of omega-3, prevents wrinkles by blocking UV- induced enzymes that destroy collagen.”

Sign me up!  Did I mention it isn’t greasy at all?  Well, it’s not.  It sinks right into the skin and gives the perfect canvas for makeup.  $65

Redness Relief Serum-

I was really intrigued to try their Redness Relief.  I haven’t quite come across a product quite like it.  Since I can remember I’ve had broken capillaries on my face-basically redness in some areas.  I also seem to always have some redness around my nose.  Now I’m not talking rosacea but redness that I notice.  Anyways, this redness relief is a slightly milky like serum.  I would apply it at night, although you can apply it in the am as well.  What did I notice?  I noticed a more even complexion.  All my redness wasn’t gone but it was magically a lot less pronounced.  My skin felt calmer.  I also used this on the occasional breakout and noticed it definitely calmed redness around the zit.  $80

Everyday Coverage Tinted Sunscreen SPF 30-

Last but certainly not least is this tinted sunscreen that I’m also loving.  I received it in Light Tint.  It is a SPF 30 full spectrum UVA+UVB, non-nano zinc oxide sunscreen.  I love that it has a tint to it-no white residue!  It goes on a like a day time moisturizer and isn’t heavy at all.  It sinks right into my skin.  The perfect base pre-foundation, or on it’s own before heading to the beach.  Even my hubs likes it!  It’s also rated #1 in EWG 2014/2015 Sunscreen Guide.  $48

Sounds like a nice line, Suzi! Thanks for mentioning the retinol piece. A lot of “natural” brands use this in their skincare and I just don’t understand why. Hope you are feeling well.

Thanks Margot! I know, it’s concerning it’s not brought up more. I appreciate True Botanicals recent awareness on it and hope more companies get on board.
