I am so excited to finally share with you guys my experience with Lotus Wei’s Inner Peace Elixir, and the powerful flower in it, red hibiscus. Plus, I had to tell you that Katie Hess, founder of Lotus Wei, author + flower alchemist, has written a gorgeous, transformative book, translating the wisdom + magic of flowers. Each flower has its own special message and teaching, and in Flowerevolution, you’ll discover:
- What your favorite flowers say about you
- How the language of flowers can help you better understand yourself + your loved ones
- Methods – ancient + modern – for tapping into each flower’s unique quality
I have tried many of Lotus Wei’s creations before and was excited to test out something new. The Inner Peace Elixir is meant to bring a sense of calm, balance, peacefulness, and strength. The flower that really stuck out to me was the red hibiscus.
So what does red hibiscus bring? I had the same question.

The Hibiscus flower is in the Mallow family, and this variety is also known as the “Chinese rose” or “Chinese hibiscus.” It comes in many colors, usually warm colors like yellow, orange, red and pink. It is beloved in gardening and landscaping for its bright colors and swirling shapes. If you’re drawn to the Red Hibiscus, you may have recently experienced a series of stressful events. You might feel exhausted by emotional stress, having had “one thing after another” occur. Hibiscus flower elixir helps us regain hope and experience relief after a string of stressful events. It brings in light at the end of the tunnel, supports us in recognizing how these situations contribute to our personal growth, and allows us to start anew with a fresh perspective.
It was odd that I was given The Inner Peace Elixir considering these past couple months have been hectic. We moved two weeks before having my second daughter. I was still organizing while trying to nurse a baby and take care of my two year old and blog! Haha, crazy town. This elixir made me feel at ease, balanced and calm. Even when things around me were going in every direction I felt I could take it all in and not let my emotions get the best of me. You can apply five drops of the elixir five times a day or you can put 25 drops in water. This has been a little piece of relief during the past couple of months!
