I know I sound like a broken record every month when reviewing Beauty Heroes but guys, it’s just the IT Green Beauty Box. I just love the whole mission of Beauty Heroes and all that they’re doing. From taking time to truly care for yourself, to relishing in one really clean beauty product-it’s easy to get behind the vision and mandate. This month was no exception! I’m not new to Innersense Organic Beauty, but of course was excited to learn of their newest launch- The Hydrate Collection! What a luxe product! I was a little apprehensive at first. My hair is fine and thin and the shampoo and conditioner are for thirsty hair-yeah usually the two don’t mix. I often read hydrate, moisturize and so on and two words comes to mind…GREASY HAIR. Yeah, usually I look for words like volume, clarifying when it comes to my fine/thin hair…you get me right? So when I went to use the shampoo and conditioner and didn’t come out with wet looking hair after blowdrying, I knew Innersense had made something very special. If you aren’t familiar with Beauty Heroes or maybe what a beauty subscription box even looks like, then allow me to explain.
Beauty Heroes was founded by Jeannie Jarnot. A longtime spa director herself and healthy beauty expert. I had the pleasure of meeting Jeannie last year at IBE, and she is truly one of the sweetest people. Beauty Heroes is a monthly beauty service that selects only the best clean beauty brands. Each month you can find one to two full size truly heroic products in each box. The products typically range from skincare to haircare products. However, every 3 months Beauty Heroes offers a makeup box as well that’s optional for members or non-members. I absolutely love their “Use Less, Love More” philosophy. By only getting one or two products, you allow yourself to truly experience them. Of course you can trust their picks, as they are strict on their integrity standards. What’s not to love about this whole concept? As a Beauty Heroes Ambassador, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of such a movement.
Ok, so do you want to know what I thought of the new Hydrate Collection Shampoo and Conditioner from Beauty Heroes? Cuz, I’m about to tell ya!
This month the Heroic product was the new Hydrate Collection by Innersense Organic Beauty. This was definitely a special month. Not only did Innersense launch their new Hydrate Collection but they also debuted their new sleek packaging in the March Beauty Hero’s Box too-so cool. The new packaging has me swooning all around. You guys know I love anything gold and the tall slender bottles are just so chic looking. A lot of people think green beauty has to look natural or green-you know, everything has to look and feel eco. I love that this stereotype is getting blown out of the water. Green beauty not only can be eco but luxe too, and in my opinion often more luxe than conventional beauty. The thought, attention to detail, and overall feel of the product is so much more apparent. Innersense proves just that. Not only do you get a luxe looking product but a product that works! Did I mention they spent two years working on this collection-love their commitment and dedication!
So the cat’s out of the bag- it works, even on this fine/thin girl’s mane. I used the shampoo as I would use any other shampoo. It suds up well and feels so luxurious. I know I’ve already used the word luxurious 10,000 times but that’s truly the best word to describe it. The smell is amazing, hints of vanilla and sage come together in such a beautiful way. My hair feels moisturized just using the shampoo on it’s own. So here’s my trick with using the conditioner. Since I know it’s a heavier product I use just a small amount and only on my ends where I need it most. I do have color treated hair, so my ends are more porous and need a little hydration-especially for combing my hair out after the shower. I mean my hair is fine and thin like I said…recipe for tangles is inevitable if I don’t use a proper conditioner. So I just use a small dab of the conditioner on the ends and my hair feels hydrated but not greasy and heavy. You fined hair gals know what I’m talking about. I blow dried my hair and although I did feel like my hair didn’t have as much bounce as usual, it didn’t feel lifeless like I was expecting. I wouldn’t use this every time I shampoo my hair-just too much. This is a great treatment for my hair type- once or twice a week. Now my sisters- a whole different story! Thick, unruly, wavy hair that’s color treated…give them the Hydrate Collection. Just know your hair type and how often to use it. They also included the Sweet Spirit Leave in Conditioner. I’m a huge fan of this product, especially in the summer time when my hair gets easily parched. I love spritzing it all over my hair before I go out in the sun to protect my color, and so it doesn’t soak up the chlorine in the pool water, it helps create a barrier.
This month the sidekick product is The Harmonic Healing Hair Oil. This Healing Hair Oil is great for irritated/dry scalps, as well as hair that needs some serious moisture and tlc. Apply it and then let it sit over night for the ultimate scalp and hair treatment. You can even use this on your skin, wherever you need some extra hydration.
