I don’t know about you guys, but I have a thing for body scrubs.  Especially when they take me away to the tropics with their smell.  Mainstream body scrubs are a no go for obvious reasons-they’re filled with chemicals!  Most of them are filled with artificial dyes and fragrances, which are endocrine disruptors.  Not to mention, they’re drying because of all the chemicals in them.

Since going green I’ve tried a slew of natural body scrubs.  I honestly was never disappointed with any of them, but I was taken back by the price.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind paying for green products.  However, I like to invest in products that I can’t easily replicate.  I would rather invest my money in a really amazing night cream, or mascara I can’t live without, then a body scrub I can easily re-create.  It’s hard to pay for something when you can make it yourself, and all the ingredients are already lying around in your kitchen.  Sounds like a no-brainer to me!  So I started making my own body scrub, and haven’t looked back.  Trust me, this stuff is so amazing, you may think you just went to Hawaii when you step out of the shower!  Plus, it’s full of all organic ingredients, and moisturizing oils.  Oh and it’s so easy to make… and did I mention cheap?!  What are you waiting for??  Get to it!

*If any oil settles at the bottom, just give it a good shake before use.
