Uncle Harry’s Green Review

Uncle Harry’s was so kind to send me some of their natural green products to try out-so many goodies!  I was familiar with the brand a little, since I use their toothpaste-my fave!  I sampled some of their skincare/teeth products this time around.  Uncle Harry’s is a family owned company, specializing in creating earth friendly, natural products at affordable prices.  All of their creations are handmade using the best in organic, sustainable, and local materials.  Another bonus?  They’re made right here in the greater Seattle area-my hood!

Why I really like Uncle Harry’s?   A lot of people either can’t afford luxury organic products or don’t want to pay for them-that’s where Uncle Harry’s comes in.  A company that not only makes quality products, but products for the whole family and that anyone can afford or are willing to buy!

What did I sample?  Some skincare, teeth products and a scalp product.  They have SO many products that I didn’t sample, so if you don’t see something you like here, trust me, there’s probably something on their website.  Anyways, let’s get to the ones I did sample.

Instant Clay Mask Bar-

This is definitely the first time I’ve used Indian clay on my skin.  It has a different smell that’s for sure.  Kind of herbal medicinal.  It’s also a different concept than a traditional mask I’ve used.  It comes in a bar form and you wet your skin and then take one end of the bar and cover your face in it.  Let it dry and then wipe off.  My skin felt so moisturized afterwards, counterintuitive to what you may be used to with traditional clay masks.  My skin felt so smooth.  There is literally two ingredients in the whole bar-Indian Yellow clay and Kewra fragrance.  It can be used as a cleanser, but I found it didn’t remove all my makeup, so I just used it as a mask.  $3

Jojoba Face Tonic-

This toner has jojoba oil, colloidal silver water, grapefruit seed extract and an array of essential oils.  The smell is light and refreshing.  It left my skin feeling hydrated and soft.  A great hydrosol after cleansing and before serum/moisturizer.  $5

Pure Raw Argan Oil-

I loved this oil!  One of my favorite products that I’ve tried from Uncle Harry’s.  It’s moisturizing but not greasy.  It melted into my skin so effortlessly and in the morning my skin was supple.  It just has organic extra virgin cold pressed raw argan oil.  Great for a deep hair conditioner too!  I also used it before I applied my foundation and it just glided on-a great product to get skin prepped for even makeup application.  $12

Hemp Blemish Salve-

I was really interested in this salve.  I’ve never used a salve for a blemish before, but used a ton of serums.  It has lavender and calendula in it-both known for their antiseptic properties.  I loved the smell!  Smells definitely like the perfect blend of lavender and calendula.  So I did put it on a blemish and slept on it overnight.  The blemish was just red and painful to the touch.  What happened?  The next morning the blemish had gone down.  I used it for several days in a row and it went away-no rupture!  It definitely didn’t take it away the next day, but it did help over time.  $6

Herbal Coconut Oil-

This was another favorite!  Filled with hydrating oils like coconut, hemp, almond oil and an array of essential oils.  I loved using it after showering for all over moisturized skin.  I also used it for shaving and my skin was silky smooth afterwards.  I highly recommend! It smells fresh and very herbal.  This is also great for travel-only 2 oz.!  $3

Hair and Scalp Elixir-

This was another great one.  I mean who doesn’t love a good scalp massage, especially when a good scalp oil is involved?!  This concoction is filled with apple cider vinegar, and essential oils to remove build up, help stimulate the scalp and help hair grow.  It feels very invigorating on the scalp-especially with the peppermint, and eucalyptus.  You put the drops on your scalp and then rub it in.  You can leave it on for 30 minutes or overnight.  My husband and I took turns giving scalp massages.  I definitely would recommend this if you find you have an oily scalp, prone to dry scalp/dandruff or just like  a good scalp massage!  $5

Oral Swish-

This was another fave!  It is a cold pressed sesame oil mixed with essential oils for oil pulling.  Oil pulling not only removes toxins from your mouth but your whole body.  It is simply adding a small amount of the oil in your mouth and swishing it around for 5-20 minutes and then spitting out and brushing your teeth.  You will be amazed at how clean your teeth feel.  I really liked using sesame oil.  I typically use coconut oil with no essential oils.  This also didn’t solidify like my coconut oil-another perk of sesame oil.  $10

Peppermint Toothpaste-

I wasn’t sent any of their toothpaste, but this is what I use for my toothpaste and I love it!  My teeth feel so clean and my breath stays fresh.  There is no glycerin or sugar in the toothpaste-something I find in most natural brands.  It uses bentonite clay to draw out bacteria and grime from the mouth, which is very alkalizing.  Also, it comes in a glass jar, and there’s no need to worry about double dipping because the essential oils in it are antiseptic.  You all need this! $6

Hey Suzi! We’ve been looking to find oral care to add to our boutique. You are not the first I’ve seen rave about this toothpaste! We’ll definitely look into.
