I’m so excited to share with you guys my experience with Kahina Giving Beauty. I have long been a fan of their products. They are pure and perform. Not to mention the care and detail that goes into each ingredient. I first heard about Kahina several years ago from Katie at the Green Product Junkie. If you haven’t checked out her blog you need too. She has the lowdown on all of green beauty, and she has the best sense of humor. Anyways, she was always raving about their night cream. Being the avid blog reader, I followed her advice and purchased some. Well, let’s just say it did not disappoint. I remember not wanting the jar to end. Since then I’ve been a Kahina devotee and supporter.
Kahina Giving Beauty was started by Katharine L’Heureux. A woman familiar building luxury businesses, she noticed a hole in the organic skincare market. After trips to Morocco had introduced her to argan oil, she created a line around the powerful oil and thus birthed Kahina Giving Beauty. Her goal was not just have an organic skincare line, but a brand that supported the people and cultures. Well, 8 years later she’s certainly accomplished that and much more. I love the products and the ethics behind this brand. They practice what they preach!
I have tried several products from their line and I want to share them all with you. Some are recent and others have long been faves.
Kahina Facial Cleanser-
This cleanser is one of my absolute faves I’ve come across. It isn’t harsh at all but very gentle and soothing. It’s a cream cleanser and feels like a very light lotion. My skin as most of you know runs on the drier side, so this is a godsend! My face never feels tight or stripped after cleansing. I do always double cleanse as well. I also love the smell, so light and refreshing. If you have sensitive, dry, or mature skin, this cleanser is perfect for you. $58
Kahina Argan Oil-
I have used argan oil in the past, but not Kahina’s Organic Argan Oil. This oil is what Kahina was founded on. A truly luxurious oil, the benefits of this powerhouse are endless. You can use it on the hair, skin, nails-really anywhere that needs a little moisture. Kahina’s in particular is so light, yet at the same time so hydrating. My skin never felt dry but it never was greasy after application either. A serious perk! I used this at night and before my makeup. My skin felt balanced and even. I also really love how there isn’t anything else in this oil but just pure argan oil. A lot of oils today have a combination of ingredients and it’s nice just to use one single oil on the skin. $36
Kahina Facial Lotion-
I was excited to try out their facial lotion after loving the night cream. Plus, I’ve had fellow bloggers rave about it too. Well, they were right! It’s the perfect day time lotion before makeup application. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, but settles nicely into the skin. I even applied this after the argan oil at night for a little extra moisture when I was in Arizona and loved it. It’s not as heavy as the night cream, but hydrating enough for me during the day. As much as I love oils, I must admit it’s nice to have a good facial lotion. Especially one that sits so well under makeup. $62
Kahina Brightening Serum-
This has been in my skincare routine for a while-a must have product for me. Just like the name suggests, it brightens and lightens spots on your skin. From sun spots, hyper pigmentation, acne scars, elasticity, and firmness-it gives an overall radiance. It’s not like a typical oil serum that’s heavy but lighter. It doesn’t even look like an oil, it’s a whitish color. It does take some time to see results as far as brightening spots, but it does work over time. I feel an even look to my skin. A lot of times people say their skin doesn’t feel even or their complexion is dark in one area and light in another…well this is the product you need! $72
Kahina Night Cream-
Well it’s no surprise I like the night cream. It was the first product I’ve tried from Kahina and it got me hooked. There’s so many things I like about their night cream. From the consistency and texture, to the way it sits on me skin. It just checks all the boxes. The smell is so mild and refreshing too. I’m not into super potent smelling skincare, and I think that’s one of the reasons Kahina has always stood out to me. Their scent is mild and light. The night cream melts right into my skin and leaves behind no greasy residue. I love waking up the next morning. My skin looks even, supple and calm. This is a must if you have dry skin. I apply this after my serums. I even got my mom hooked. $105
Kahina Eye Serum-
This has been another staple in my skincare routine. I discovered it this past fall and fell head over heels. As I’ve mentioned before I’m super particular about my eye serums/creams. I’ve tried a ton and to be honest there’s a lot out there that don’t impress me. This however, is in a league of it’s own. I can noticeably tell a difference when I use this eye serum. I don’t have the tired eye look, it minimizes puffiness and it keeps my fine lines looking obsolete. I know, sounds amazing huh? One trick I’ve done since the beginning is to apply at night then put it in the fridge for in the morning. Then when I apply in the morning it’s cool and perks my underneath eye area up even more. I even mentioned this to the owner Katharine and she said yes, she does the same! Phew, I wasn’t crazy. Anyways, if you’ve been searching for an eye serum, search no further-this is it! $78
Well, that concludes my review of Kahina Giving Beauty. Have you tried any of their products? What are your faves?
