I can’t believe Valentine’s Day has come and gone! I’m kind of excited about it though…it means spring is coming! This mama is ready for some sunshine. I’ve come across some stellar products the past month or so and I thought I would do a round up post of them all. I’ve got everything from some blushes I’m crushing on, lipsticks that must be had, a body wax that oozes luxury, and some facial skincare that will have you swooning. I couldn’t keep these to myself any longer!
This is the first time trying any Tammy Fender products. I was so excited to finally get my hands on some! I’ve heard great things-especially about these two products specifically. First the Quintessential Serum is unlike any serum I’ve tried. I have dry skin and I find it hard to find a serum that really keeps my skin hydrated the whole day. This serum does just that! The best way to describe the texture of the serum is fatty and rich. Haha, I know those are words you might not hear often when describing a serum. A lot of oils are thinner but this one is dense and heavier. Not heavy in a bad way though. I apply it at night and in the morning my skin is so plump! It comes in a pump bottle and I can see why they chose that method-because of it’s richness. I even used this a couple times in the morning before my makeup, when my skin was feeling especially dry. My makeup did great! It really protects your skin from the elements. With anti-aging ingredients like rose hip seed oil and rose, plus hydrating ingredients such as apricot and avocado oil, this oil is packed full of goodness. I highly recommend this if you’ve been searching for a serum that really gives you that moisturized feeling and anti-aging benefits. Check out her whole line here!
The Epi-Peel is another fun new product find! Talk about having an instant face lift with this baby. When you put it on it feels more like an exfoliant, gritty like, but then as it dries it feels more like a clay mask. Then when you take if off you get this glow! It polishes your skin while at the same time brightening. The best part of it all?! It literally only takes 5 minutes to see results-pretty awesome! It really is a 3 in 1-an exfoliant, mask, and peel. It also smells of spearmint which I love! I used this twice a week. It’s like your own little mini spa like peel at home.
This blush + highlighter has been such a great compact. I’ve been using it and gotten so many compliments! This pressed powdered palette is a coral colored matte blush on one side and on the other side is a highlighter. You can either add some of the highlighter for a healthy glow or just stick with the matte color. A great natural look for daily wear. If you’ve been looking for a natural looking blush-this may just be your ticket! Plus, for $24 this is a green beauty steal! Check it out here!
I’ve been searching for a BB cream for a while. I’m not a huge fan of tinted moisturizers. I always want a little more coverage and a BB cream is the perfect alternative. It still offers you some SPF, and isn’t as heavy as a traditional foundation-a happy medium. I tried the color in 20 AGLOW. They offer three colors. I was the middle one. In the above photo when looking straight at it I have the BB cream on my left side and not on my right. As you can see it covers my redness and evens out my skin tone but still looks really natural. It’s not super moisturizing for my dry skin but I prefer that in a BB cream. Then I don’t deal with the mid-day shine look-know what I mean. However, it offers some great radiance and glow with it. It has tiny light reflective pigments in it. I always applied a moisturizer before I applied the BB cream and it went on great. I imagine it would be even better in the summer months when humidity is high and you want something that isn’t heavy but doesn’t add extra shine to your skin. I love how natural it looks on the skin too, yet covers what I want it to cover. Definitely recommend for those looking for a BB cream that offers great coverage, and a little glow. Plus, it has SPF 15 in it and is vegan! A great option too for those who like a less is more approach to makeup. Check it out here!
The Semi-Matte Lipstick in Currant did not disappoint either! I was so impressed with the color. In the above photo I have on the Currant lipstick color plus I’m wearing the BB cream on the rest of my face. The lipstick color really translated so well from looking at it on the computer screen to when I received it in the mail. I love this color for spring-the perfect pop of color. It instantly perks up my whole look. I would wear minimal eye makeup and then swipe this baby all over my lips-instant wow factor! Even though these lipsticks are matte, they aren’t drying. My lips still feel moist. It lasts forever on your lips too. Now I just need all the colors! Check it out here!
If you’ve been following me on my Instagram stories, then you’ve seen how obsessed I’ve been with this nude lipstick. A great lip color for every day wear. Also, great for when you want to play up your eyes and keep the lips minimal but still look put together. Have I mentioned how moisturizing Hynt lipsticks are? Well they are! They even have a little lip balm at the top of the lipstick case plus a mirror-I mean does it get any better?! If Bellini Nude isn’t your color I highly recommend you check out some of the other colors, these lipsticks are some of the best when it comes to pigmentation, hydration and packaging. Can I be honest, I really thought I had tried all the body oils/lotions out there…then I tried this body wax by Khus+Khus and I was quickly mistaken. This stuff is pure luxury. First off it smells amazing. I’m not into super fragrant products and this product is the perfect balance. With ingredients of blue tansy, and blue yarrow this wax is perfect for helping with inflamed skin, as both are anti-inflammatory. I received this at the best time. I had just fallen on some ice and sprained my elbow. The Blue Tansy is especially great for bringing relief to tired sore muscles, strains, etc. I started to apply it daily, sometimes twice a day. I would apply at night, because that is when it would start to ache, since I wasn’t moving it. I can honestly say it felt looser and more limber while using it. Also, if you have eczema or irritated skin, this is a great was to soothe your skin. A little goes a long way. It instantly absorbs into your skin, no greasy feeling and leaves you hydrated the whole day. I have to say the wax is really more of an experience from start to finish. It awakens me in the morning and soothes me at night. I can’t get enough! Plus, can we talk about the luxe packaging? It’s housed in a dark glass jar. Maybe the Bleu Body Wax isn’t your thing? No worries, they have three other waxes that look equally as luxurious! Check them out here!
This combo is a match made in makeup heaven! In the above picture I’m wearing both the M’Lady blush and Sundrop Bronzer. First I have to dish on this blush. I really love the color. It’s a matte muted mauve color, with hints of light reflective pigments in it-which I’m digging. The color is for those with medium skin and yellow undertones. I’ve been wearing it and loving how it wakes up my whole look-especially during these grey winter days. If this doesn’t match your skin profile, Red Apple Lipstick has one for you. I like how they profile each blush for skin types. It really helps the reader to know if the blush would work for their skin color or not.
I’m also swooning over their Sundrop Bronzer. This bronzer doesn’t have any orangey hue to it- just realistic brown undertones. Making it look so natural on your skin. Great for adding a little contour to your face too. This paired with the M’Lady blush is the perfect combo for a sun kissed look. Instead of looking like you just put bronzer on it looks like you just stepped out of the tropics. They really nailed both colors! They sell blush and bronzer duos with blush brushes too- a great value and gift. Check out Red Apple Lipstick for all their color options!
