Products I actually bought as a Beauty Blogger

So want to know the products I actually bought as a beauty blogger?! Well, I’m about to divulge.  It’s no secret I get sent a lot of product.  As a beauty blogger it’s both one of the perks and a necessity to stay in the know of what’s working and what’s not.  However, there are products that I buy myself because they’re just so good and because I’m not above buying product myself.

I wanted to share my current picks with you in hopes you might find something you like as well.  These are tried and true faves that never get old.  But are necessary staples in my green beauty arsenal!  I’ve got a little of everything, something for skin, hair and makeup.   Keep reading to find out what I can’t get enough of!

Leahlani Skincare Mermaid Mask-

If you’ve been around green beauty for even a hot minute you’ve heard of Leahlani Skincare.  Where would green beauty be without Leahlani Skincare?!  But really, it’s true.  I just can’t get enough of their Mermaid Mask and I know I’m not alone.  This mask is all around lovely.  Upon opening the frosted glass jar you’re greeted with the smell of the Hawaiian Islands where this decent skincare line is created.  I can just feel all the love that goes into each jar.  The formula is still handmade by Leah, the founder.  This beauty mask is filled with raw honey, spirulina, chlorella, green microalgae, kaolin sea clay and a plethora of wonderful flower oils.  It was the first green beauty mask I tried and saw a noticeable difference in my skin instantly.  My skin was glowing!  Not only that but my skin felt hydrated and decongested.  My skin is less red, and more even after using.  If you’ve been on the fence about purchasing a facial mask- just do it and snag this one!  I promise you won’t be disappointed.  A serious skin treat!  It’s also a great gift too!  Get your Leahlani Mermaid Mask here!

Osmia Organics Soap-

Again, another brand staple in green beauty.  Just the name sounds sexy doesn’t it?!  The founder Sarah is an ER doctor and really knows her stuff.  If you’ve seen her describe her soaps then you’ve probably bought one!  She makes them sound irresistible and then you buy one and realize she was absolutely right!  I was never a bar soap girl until the first day I laid eyes on an Osmia bar soap and I was sold.  First, the packaging is so luxe.  Wrapped in a partially-recycled, watercolor paper and hemp twine that is all biodegradable and compostable.  You’ll love the soap before you even use it.  Then once you unwrap it, you see this beautiful bar of soap with these waves at the top.  It’s just a thing of beauty.  All the soaps are made with organic and natural plant butters, organic and wildcrafted herbs, high quality organic oils and organic or wildcrafted essential oils.  Great lengths go to making this so much more than just a bar of soap and that’s why I just can’t stray from them.  There’s nothing artificial in these soaps!  They have seasonal scents that come out throughout the year and their staples too.  One of their staples I always have to have on hand is their coffee mint soap.  SO good.  Use it in the morning and you just may not need your morning cup of coffee!  I also love to sample the seasonal scents.  I just picked up a bar from their Spring Collection, and it’s all around lovely!  Get your Osmia bar soap here!

Aila Beauty Nail Polish-

My nails can’t stop sporting Aila nail polish for good reason- it’s the best!  The color and pigment in the polish is so vibrant.  It’s easy to apply and is long lasting.  Plus, I love the color selection.  My favorite is Bodega, but I also love I’m Naked, I’m Naked and Namaste.  Some nail polish can feel goopy and hard to work with but not Aila- it glides on the nails.  I bring this with me when I have my nails done and they love the formula!  The founder, Dr. Cary Gannon knows her stuff as a Board Certified Podiatric Surgeon.  She wanted to create a nail polish line that not only worked but also was free of the common harmful toxins lurking in conventional nail polish.  Well she did it and I can’t get enough.  Besides her nail polish colors, I’m also addicted to her better than gel topcoat.  It keeps my nails chip free for 5 days!  And it rates a 1 on EWG!  Get your Aila Nail Polishes here!

Josh Rosebrook Styling Cream-

This styling cream is a favorite for my hubs and I.  He loves how it gives hold to his hair and definition without the “wet” look.  I love using it after I’ve curled my hair to add separation and texture.  It offers the hold but doesn’t get crunch or leave my hair feeling too greasy or weighed down- which I love! The ingredients are so pure too and even help stimulate and feed your scalp for optimal hair growth.  Plus, it smells so good, with essential oils of cardamom, peach and fennel.  My hubs can’t not have this and I feel the same!  Grab your Styling Cream here!

Gressa Minimalist Corrective Serum Foundation-

 width=

This foundation is different than any other foundation I’ve used.  It’s actually a facial serum and foundation in one.  It comes in a bottle with a dropper.  Not only are you putting on a great foundation everyday, but nutrient vitamins your skin will drink up.  The serum doesn’t feel oily like you might think.  But it feels similar to a really watered down, thin paint.  I applied a few drops onto my fingers, and applied it on my face-quite like I would a facial serum.  Once it came in contact with my skin it dries, and creates this flawless finish.  It’s a matte finish but not dry looking.  The foundation covered redness, and gave my skin an overall pulled together look.  However, it looked like I wasn’t wearing anything-which I loved!  It gives you a polished look, but looks very natural at the same time.  Doesn’t every woman want that?  My skin can breathe and it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing a mask.  I also, love how it doens’t feel dry at all, and it looks just as good after a full day.  A little goes a long way too!  I love having this on hand to mix with other foundations too.  If you’re looking for a foundation that makes you feel comfortable in your own skin, then this is it.  I’m wearing the color 3.5.  Get your Gressa Minimalist Corrective Serum Foundation here!
