Alpyn Beauty Introduction
Alpyn Beauty was founded by Kendra Kolb Butler. She had spent 20 years working at prestige skincare brands in New York. However, in 2015, her family moved from Manhattan to Jackson Hole, WY to get away from the stress & toxins of the city. She quickly realized there was nowhere to buy prestige skincare in Jackson Hole, so she opened her own beauty store. Unfortunately, she quickly noticed her clients were dissatisfied and not seeing results with everything she had to offer in the store.
One day, Kendra was sitting in her backyard looking at the wild, hydrated, juicy plants in the mountains and started wondering, how has the natural flora evolved to survive (and thrive) in a place that was wreaking havoc on the skin? What exactly was in this these plants? When she discovered that skincare ingredients were growing naturally all around her, she began studying wildcrafting and Alpyn Beauty was born from there!

Key Ingredients in Alpyn Beauty Products
Alpyn Beauty uses wildcraft ingredients from Jackson Hole, Wyoming which is where the formulas are also created. These plants withstand so much to survive the harsh climate changes that are present there. From sub zero temperatures, to the scorching heat, these plants have learned how to protect and thrive.
Alpyn Beauty then takes these precious plants and uses their superpowers in their formulas to create skincare magic. Just as the plants protected themselves from the elements, they do the same for the skin. To understand their ingredients you must first understand what is means to have ‘wildcraft’ ingredients.

Alpyn Beauty PlantGenius Line-Filling Eye Balm
This eye balm is so unique. It looks similar to a cream but it’s not. It is lighter in texture and soaks seamlessly into the skin. I pat it on with my ring finger- the finger with the least amount of muscles, so less chance of pulling the delicate eye area. It brightens, hydrates and de-puffs. Not to mention, the long term benefits of faded fine lines- yes I’ll take it! I use this morning and night and have no plans of stopping- addicted. Get it here!
Alpyn Beauty PlantGenius Melt Moisturizer
My skin was left hydrated and not greasy feeling. It’s a matte feel once it dries. It’s packed full of actives too, like hyaluronic acid, squalene, ceramides and bakuchiol. It is heavy enough to moisturize but light enough to wear during the day time or over your favorite facial oil. It’s one of those moisturizers you can literally wear year round. Willow and Sweet Agave Plumping Lip Mask
This produc is just SO good! Am I obsessed? Maybe. I literally apply it every night before I go to bed and in the morning. My lips have stayed so hydrated and not dry. Having fuller lips, I tend to get dry lips and this has helped so much. I can’t recommend it enough. When I asked the founder why she created a lip formula she said she hadn’t found anything that really nourished and hydrated the lips. She hit the nail on the head with this one! It has a slightly sweet taste from the agave. It isn’t going to give you a huge boost in volume for your lips but just a subtle tingle. My new go to lip formula! Get it here!
Bearberry & Vitamin C Glow Serum
This is another serum that really helps to amp up the glow on the skin. It not only delivers glowing skin, but also a smoothness. It has Vitamin C and bearberry leaf, and licorice root that targets dark spots. Plus, it also has a blend of AHA’s that help to really bring out the glow in your skin by giving it a gentle exfoliation. You can actually wear it under or over makeup. I prefer to wear it under makeup. I can really see the difference in how my makeup looks when I do it first. It definitely imparts an overall glow! Get it here!
Wild Huckleberry 8-Acid Polishing Peel
This mask from Alpyn Beauty has been taking up some serious residence in my beauty routine since it came out! It leaves your skin smooth, hydrated and soft- all within 5 minutes. It’s a mini facial in a jar. I mean what more could a woman want? Perfect before putting on makeup for the day or at night to unwind. Plus, it smells so good you might be tempted to eat it! Pore Perfecting Liquid
This is their newest product. It’s a toner with 2% BHA(salicylic acid) and borage in it. The salicylic acid helps to exfoliate the skin and purify pores, while the borage soothes skin and hydrates. But they didn’t stop there, they also included Vitamin C which helps to brighten skin and Tremella Mushroom which also helps to brighten the skin and balance the pH of the skin. Ideal for those with combination to oily skin. You apply it after cleansing before your serums and moisturizers. While it felt good on my skin, it’s not something I would personally gravitate towards since I don’t have oily skin or acne. However, I have heard rave reviews about this product from others who do. Wild Nettle & Niacinamide Firming Serum
This is one power packed serum! It does it all. From smoothing texture to helping with fine lines and even the skin. It has a plant sourced vitamin C, plus wild nettle, niacinamide and rambutan. This combination really ups the level of the serum. You can apply it day or night. It gives your skin that silky smooth feeling instantly and then over time you can really tell a huge difference the more you use it. I noticed an overall brightness to the skin and more even skin tone when using it. I really love how rich of a feeling it has but yet doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. You will love! Get it here!
Triple Vitamin C Brightening Bounce Cream
Ok, my V.A. Becky actually turned me on to this! She was raving to me about it and I realized I hadn’t tried it yet- of course I quickly changed that and got some. She was right! You can noticeably see a change in your skin from using it. I love how my skin looked brighter and more plumped. It hydrated my skin but not in a heavy/greasy way at all. It has three forms of Vitamin C in the formula and polyphenol power of line-smoothing wild chokecherry. This really helps to give the brightness to the skin, while aloe really helps to give skin that moisture and bounce. Your skin will feel so moisturized! Get it here!
June Berry & Collagen Cream Cleanser
One of their newer products that I fell hard for. It’s a modern take on a cold cream, but it doesn’t feel too thick. It easily removes with water and a washcloth and slightly emulsifies when you mix water with it. It’s truly so refreshing on the skin. It even has a slight tingle to it with the eucalyptus in it. Doesn’t strip my skin at all, but nourishes it while cleansing. You can also leave it on as a mask for even extra benefit! Totally love this- especially for a winter cleanser when my skin needs extra moisture. Get it here!
Final Thoughts On Alpyn Beauty
I’m really impressed with Alpyn Beauty as a natural skincare line! One thing that is repeated throughout their line is the quality of sourced ingredients to the effectiveness of their products. I feel like a lot of natural lines can feel nice on the skin but don’t actually perform, however that’s not true with Alpyn Beauty. Their line is both effective and clean. I can actually see a difference in my skin when I use their products and they’re relatively budget friendly too! When you can find serums and creams for under $60, that’s definitely a steal in clean beauty. I love that their line is wild crafted too! The founder Kendra literally forages on land for ingredients that are local to Jackson Hole- how cool. I also love how she creates not just another product, but products she feels like she can’t find in the market. Excited to see what she creates next!
