Smoothie Box Review

Smoothie Box Review

Finally sharing my Smoothie Box Review with you!  I was so excited when Smoothie Box reached out to me and told me about their smoothies.  I couldn’t wait to try!

If you’ve followed me for a hot minute you know I’m obsessed with smoothies!  I make one every morning for breakfast.

There are several reasons why I love smoothies:

  1. They are super quick to whip up.  I prep all my ingredients and literally just add liquid the ingredients and I’m good to go.
  2. They are convenient on the go and as a mom.  Even if you’re not a mom you probably can relate to the benefit of smoothies.
  3. They pack a nutrient punch.  My smoothie is loaded with a ton of veggies, fruit, healthy fats, fiber and protein.  A great way to start my mornings without having to prepare an elaborate breakfast.

I’ve checked out a lot of smoothie companies in the past but it’s been hard to find ones that aren’t just loaded with a ton of fruit.  I want some healthy fats, fiber and a amount of veggies.  After all, if you’re smoothie is primarily made up of fruit you’re going to crash pretty quick after drinking it!

Smoothie box review

Here is the Green smoothie pack- so delicious!

When I heard of Smoothie Box I was pleasantly surprised to see how healthy their smoothie packs were.  They were all organic and didn’t have any added sugar or funky ingredients.  Plus, the protein they offered was grass fed collagen protein.  I knew this was a smoothie company I could get behind!

How It Works:

Smoothie Box offers 3 different smoothie flavors currently:

  •  Cacao- A guilt-free, rich & velvety chocolate milkshake(Smoothie Box description) Banana, Zucchini, Kale, Coconut Water, Grass-fed Collagen Protein, Sunflower Seeds, Banana Puree (Banana, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid), Coconut Cream, Cacao Nibs, Cacao Powder, Sea Salt
  • Green- A bright & tangy avocado salad(Smoothie Box description) Chopped Spinach, Avocado, Pineapple, Grass-fed Collagen Protein, Lemon Juice, Pineapple Juice, Water, Ginger, Dates, Flax Seed*, Sea Salt
  • Clementine- An orange creamsicle with a ginger boost(Smoothie Box description) Mandarin, Sweet Potato, Carrots, Ginger, Grass-fed Collagen Protein, Coconut Cream, Lemon Juice, Pumpkin Seeds, Coconut Water, Dates

The Smoothies come with collagen peptides as the protein source.  They come in little packets.  All the smoothie packs are gluten, soy, and dairy free.  Plus, there’s no added sugar!

My Experience:

I ordered the Variety pack!  I wanted to be able to try all the flavors for you guys of course.  My favorite flavor is Cacao!  It’s so creamy and really does taste like a healthy chocolate milkshake but instead filled with veggies like zucchini, and kale, plus it’s dairy free.  It really satisfied me in the mornings.

Not to say I didn’t like Clementine or Green, I really liked them too!  The Green smoothie pack is so refreshing.  It definitely would wake me up with the ginger and lemon juice.  The Clementine totally reminded me of a creamsicle type of flavor, which I’m definitely all about!  The Clementine and the Cacao were more filling to me.  But once I looked at the protein content it made sense. Clementine and Cacao have a little more protein than the Green smoothie pack.

I love that you just add water and you’re good to go!  On the back of each smoothie pack they tell you to add 16 oz. of water.  I added about 12 oz.  I like my smoothies a little thicker. I also added a cup of water and then 1/2 cup of coconut milk to make it a little creamier.

Smoothie Box review

Here is the Clementine smoothie pack- so delicious!

When my Smoothie Box arrived everything was still perfectly frozen and intact.  There was dry ice keeping it frozen.  I loved how everything was so neatly packed and there was no leakage of anything.  I also got my order super quick!
I’m so impressed with Smoothie Box!

I can’t recommend them enough. They make living out a healthy lifestyle so simple and easy.  I loved not having to think about prepping my smoothies or making sure I had all the ingredients.  Everything was literally ready to go and just needed to be blended!  My morning routine became effortless and so smooth, yet I was still getting all the nutrients of my previous smoothies.

I was also so excited that all their ingredients were organic!  A huge win in my book.  I love knowing that I don’t have to sacrifice quality for convenience.  I still added in a lot of my favorite superfood powders to the smoothie packs too.  I love adding in camu powder, pomegranate powder, and açaí powder.

March Natural Beauty Box Roundup

March Natural Beauty Box Roundup

March Natural Beauty Box roundup is here!  Can you believe it’s March?!  I felt like January and February flew by- literally.  So excited we’re getting closer to Spring!  I’ve got the lowdown on all the clean beauty boxes.  First up this month is Beauty Heroes!  Keep checking back as I update the list.

Natural beauty box

Excited to share with you Beauty Heroes March Discovery box!

Beauty Heroes: March Discovery BLUH Alchemy

So excited to share this month’s Beauty Heroes Box with you, BLUH Alchemy!  I’ve loved getting to know the product and also learning the back story behind this natural beauty brand.

BLUH Alchemy was started by Becky Bluh who had a strong desire to help her daughter’s skin heal from itchy, dry and sensitive skin.  Becky knew she was on to something when her daughter’s skin began to heal.  She realized she wanted to pursue the power of plants even further and really learn of their medicinal properties.

Besides experimenting on her own, she also was trained in cosmetic chemistry where she collaborated with top natural chemists to create BLUH Alchemy.  Not only does this innovative skincare line help protect against environmental effects, but natural aging, and daily oxidative stressors.  Using botanicals, BLUE Alchemy treats the skin with intentional products that produce results naturally.

I have never used any BLUE Alchemy products and was so excited to try the products out!  Once a product junkie, always a product junkie.

Heroic Product- BLUE Alchemy Multi C Serum

If you thought you knew about Vitamin C, step aside.  This is a new Vitamin C you have yet to use!  This is a quote about the product:

A breakthrough in botanical technology, Multi C Serum features the world’s first full- spectrum photoactive Vitamin C, a cellular extract from the kakadu plum that boasts 50 x more antioxidant potency than a Florida orange.

It’s actually more stable than any other Vitamin C!  This serum has a multitude of Vitamin C’s all wrapped into one.  From quandong and sea buckthorn berry oils.  When you combine them together they are a force to be reckoned with!

It’s no secret Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that can brighten, lighten and create a glowing complexion.  Plus, this unique formula has peptides that help to firm the skin, green coffee, and ferric acid.  Say bye to dull, ruddy skin and hello to glowing, radiant skin!  I use it after toning my skin at night and in the morning.  I noticed an improved overall texture, glow and evenness to my skin.  I love how it absorbs so effortlessly into the skin.  And can we talk about the luxe frosted glass bottle?  I love how it pumps how and has a cap- so easy for travel. I can’t wait to keep using it!

BLUH Alchemy Toning Elixir-

The sidekick this month is just as good!  This deep hydration toning elixir takes your skin from parched and dry to hydrated and supple.  Not only does this toning elixir contain bioactive and antioxidants but hyaluronic acid and hibiscus to keep moisture intact.  This hydration helps to firm your skin while helping to fade fine lines and of course when skin is hydrated it naturally glows!

One of my favorite things I found to be in this toning elixir was Niacinamide which is vitamin B3.  This is a powerhouse ingredient for your skin!  It has long been applauded for it’s ability to soothe the skin, calm inflammation and help clear acne.  Not too mention helps strengthen the skin.  This really is such an amazing toning elixir!  I spray this on my skin and pat in with my hands morning and night.  I can’t get enough of it!

Best part is you can get this fabulous box right now for such a steal!  This box is valued at $209 but you can snag it for $42.95…I mean what are you waiting for?!  This box has been one of my very favorites and I don’t want you to miss out on it!  Hop on it now if you’re thinking of getting it before they sell out!

Boxwalla April Box

Boxwalla’s Beauty Box for April featuring Malaya and Flowerspice.

Boxwalla March Box-

This is a bi-monthly box. I really love that it’s bi-monthly!  It makes you really savor each product.  This month we are seeing two different brands in the box.  Flowerspice and Malaya.

Flowerspice Soothe and Repair Daily Moisturizer- This moisturizer is so lovely!  It completely hydrates your skin but doesn’t leave it feeling greasy or oily.  The scent is so nice too.  Very different but I love it.  It’s a mixture of rose and coriander.  It comes in a glass jar.  I would scoop some out and apply it to my skin after my serums at night.  My skin would feel so hydrated and supple in the morning.  I even have been using it for my hands as they have been drier and loving how moisturized they feel.  This isn’t your average moisturizer.  It’s filled with aloe, prickly pear and Swiss Mountain Spring Water.  A serious treat for the skin!

Malaya  Advanced Repair Mask- This mask is unlike any mask I’ve used. It is both clarifying and nourishing at the same time.  Made with neem flower honey, bentonite clay and aloe, this mask really is a powerhouse when it comes to hitting all the skincare needs.  I love how my skin feels cleared, yet hydrated and glowing after using it.  And the smell!  I just love the smell.  It’s a lemongrass, blue tansy smell that I can’t get enough of!  I love how the ingredients are soothing like aloe and blue tansy, but at the same time clarifying from the honey, and clay.  Can’t stop using it!

I would snag this box soon!  It’s a $160 value but you can get it for $49.95!  Get it here!

March Clean Beauty Box

The March Clean Beauty Box is all about Indulge!

The Clean Beauty Box-

This month’s clean beauty box is filled with Beneath Your Mask.  This brand is known for really repairing and rejuvenating the skin and helping to reverse damage caused by environmental toxins. The brand fits so well with the theme, Indulge.  It’s all about indulging your senses and your skin.

Total Body Elixir- This elixir is such a indulgent skin treat.  It not only deeply nourishes your skin with 18 pure plant oils and botanicals but it also help protect it from the environment.  Your skin is left glowing and radiant!  The ingredient deck is stacked too.  With Baobab seed oil, white camellia seed oil, pomegranate seed oil and sea buckthorn berry co2.  These oils not only hydrate but also help heal stretch marks and scars and calm redness.  I apply the oil to slightly damp skin after showering and my skin is left feeling so soft.

Skin + Hair Serum- This is such a unique product.  Not only can you use it on your skin but also your hair.  With nourishing ingredients for your scalp like neem this is perfect for calming scalp inflammation but reducing dandruff.  I applied it on my scalp and ends of hair at night and then slept in it.  I would shampoo my hair the next day and it would feel so hydrated.  I didn’t need to apply that much since my hair is fine and thin.  A little goes a long way.  For my skin I would apply as the last step in my skincare routine at night.  My skin would feel hydrated and moisturized but not greasy.  It has such a nice vibrant scent with the lemongrass oil in it.  Really adds a glow to the skin.  Such a great product for travel too!  A two in one!

This box is valued at $90 but you can get it for $41.95!  Such a steal for a green beauty box!  Get it here!

Best Natural Beauty Concealers

Best Natural Beauty Concealers

Ok, you asked for this best natural beauty concealers post!  I’ve been working on this post for a while, excited to finally share.  I get this question several times a week.

What is the best natural beauty concealer?

I get it, I once was there too.  The thing is everyone looks for different things in their concealer.  Some want an under eye concealer and some want to hide imperfections.

And yes, under eye concealers are a lot different than a concealer you want to use to cover your zit- just sayin’.  I mean you can use a lot of under eye concealers on your face too but you probably don’t want to use a lot of your heavy concealers under your eyes.

So I’m outlining my absolute favorites in natural beauty.  What they’re best at when concealing and how I use them.

Consider yourself checked into concealer school!

natural beauty concealers

Fitglow Beauty Conceal + delivers when it comes to a natural beauty concealer.

Fitglow Beauty Conceal +-

Holy moly!  This is my newest fave concealer find in natural beauty and let’s just say it straight delivers.  It comes in a wand form, which I love.  It isn’t super thick but not runny thin either. It dries nicely though and doesn’t feel wet.  I like this for under the eyes and for covering lighter blemishes or hyper pigmentation.  It’s not going to cover a tattoo, (yes one of the concealers I’m going to recommend will).  It just stays put so well and blends nicely into the skin.  If you do apply in underneath your eyes, you still need to set it with a translucent powder. Like this one.  I also like applying this underneath my nose for combating redness.  This one is also pretty non-comedogenic friendly for anyone prone to breakouts.  Get it here!

natural beauty concealers

RMS Beauty Un Cover UP was one of the first concealers I tried in natural beauty.

RMS Beauty Concealer-

This was the first natural beauty concealer I used.  It’s been a long favorite of mine.  It comes in a glass pot.  It melts so easily into the skin.  It literally looks like you’re not wearing anything.  Yet, it covers redness well.  It feels very smooth and a bit oily.  Not bad oily but it is made of coconut oil so it does get a little oily feeling as you work with it in your hands.  It will cover blemishes but I don’t recommend it for people with blemish prone skin because it is made of coconut oil, a high comedogenic ingredient.  This is great under eyes too, as it looks smooth and seamless.  I would just be sure to set it with a translucent powder as well.  This is really like a foundation, concealer in one.  Often I’ll just wear this and not wear any foundation.  It makes my skin feel pulled together but not overdone.  Get it here!

natural beauty concealers

Clove and Hollow delivers with their concealer!

Clove and Hollow Concealer-

This is another concealer I discovered last year and have been loving!  It also comes in a wand form.  It feels similar to the Fitglow Beauty Concealer but thicker. It feels a little wet initially but then as you blend it in it dries matte.  It covers blemishes so well and redness!  It I have tried it under the eyes but it was a little too matte for me and looked cakey.  You could add a little oil to it- just a smidge to make it a little less matte.  I really like this for everywhere else!  It’s easy to work with, lasts all day and covers it all!  Get it here!

natural beauty concealers

Beautycounter is one of the best under eye concealers in green beauty!

Beautycounter Concealer-

This is a new fave for under the eyes!  I don’t like it for covering blemishes or redness on the face, it’s too wet of a formula.  But it works great for under the eye area because it is a little wetter of a formula.  I can blend it in really well and it covers dark circles and discoloration under the eyes.  It comes in a pen/brush formula.  You push the cap on the bottom and the formula comes out easily on this paint brush like applicator.  You then apply that to the eye area and pat the formula in with your fingers.  It brightens up your eye but doesn’t look cakey!  I also dust a little translucent powder on top of the concealer to help set it.  Get it here!

natural beauty concealers

Hynt Beauty Concealer covers it all!

Hynt Beauty Concealer-

This has been a long time fave.  It literally can cover tattoos- yep it’s true.  This is the thickest concealer by far.  It comes in a glass pot.  You can use your finger or a concealer brush to apply it.  I like using a concealer brush since it’s a little on the thicker side- less messy.  I just apply wherever I have a blemish or redness and blend in.  It’s not for under the eye area at all. Too thick.  This will last all day too.  When I talked to the founder before she said makeup artists especially liked it for movie sets because of the longevity and coverage.  If you’re looking for a heavy duty concealer that will completely cover it all, this is it!  Get it here!

natural beauty concealers

W3ll People Concealer is great for under the eyes.

W3ll People-

Last but not least is the W3ll People Concealer.  This concealer comes in a tube form and is more of a wet formula.  It squirts out of a tube.  I don’t like this as much for covering redness or blemishes.  I find it doesn’t last all day and it is too thin to offer me the coverage I like.  Instead I like using this for underneath my eye area.  I just squirt the formula out and then use my fingers to tap under my eyes.  It helps to even out discoloration under the eye area and perk up tired eyes.  Of course I add a little translucent powder to the under eye area too to set it.  You don’t have too but I find I’ll get creasing if I don’t. Get it here!

Well, that sums up the best natural beauty concealers!  See any faves?  What is your favorite?
