The Power Of Ayurveda For Health with Angela Glaz

The Power Of Ayurveda For Health with Angela Glaz

In this episode we are learning the power of Ayurveda in health with Angela.  Angela first began her practice of meditation and yoga in 2002 to alleviate chronic back pain and symptoms of depression. Since then, Angela has come along way! She has been lucky enough to travel to India twice to study Yoga and Ayurveda and deepen her own practice. She completed her studies through Himalaya Yoga Valley, an internationally accredited yoga program, located in Goa, India. In her program, she studied yoga under Yogacharya Lalit, who has studied under Sri BKS Iyengar, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Sri Sharath Jois, and Sri BNS Iyengar, and studied Ayurveda under Dr. Rohit Borkar. Most recently, she has completed the Ayurvedic Counseling program through Kerala Ayurveda Academy.

She has a genuine passion for teaching all things and finds joy in encouraging her students to explore their own unique gifts. That passion and belief in honoring every individual’s unique qualities is what drove Angela to create and open what is now Eka Yoga.

Angela teaches with Midwest heart, West Coast soul, and enough quirkiness to make the most cynical crack a smile.

When not teaching yoga, you’ll most likely find Angela urban hiking with her fur baby (Desta the dachshund) or getting experimental with cooking in the kitchen.

How To Reverse PCOS Holistically With Kate Kordsmeier

How To Reverse PCOS Holistically With Kate Kordsmeier

In episode #31 we are learning how to heal PCOS holistically with Kate Kordsmeier.  For nearly a decade, Kate was a full-time freelance food and travel writer and recipe developer–you can find her work in over 125 magazines, newspapers and websites, including USA Today, EatingWell, Cooking Light, Travel + Leisure, Shape, FITNESS, Women’s Health, The Washington Post, Clean Eating, Vegetarian Times, Wine Enthusiast, SELF and Real Simple.

In October 2015, after being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Leaky Gut Syndrome (IBS), and hypothyroidism, and subsequently healing her symptoms naturally, she created Root + Revel. Though she’s a food writer—it’s literally her job to eat and report on the world’s most delicious foods—and a food lover, who believes strongly that life is not worth living without fried chicken, cheese and wine, she’s also seen firsthand the power of nutrition and how much the food we eat affects the way we feel. After her diagnosis, she was blown away by the rapid transformation she saw in her own body from simple, natural and holistic lifestyle changes. Truly, the food she ate and the natural products she used (and the toxic products she tossed!) have helped her live a near symptom-free life.  You can learn more about her diagnosis, 80-20 lifestyle and how she strikes the balance between eating well and feeling well here.
