I’ve rounded out the Best Green Beauty Cleansers for you! I get so many questions on what cleansers I love and would recommend- well here they are. There is something for everyone and every budget. Every skin type has specific needs and goals. Gone are the days of blasting your face with harsh cleansers! All of these cleansers keep your ph in check, so you’re not left with skin that is crying out for hydration. If anything they help put moisture back in your skin.
Also, on another note something I’ve noticed people don’t often do is cleanse their skin properly. I know sounds weird even typing it but it’t true! If you don’t properly cleanse your skin, none of your other products can be as effective. You want to make sure you get all your makeup off from the day and grime. Otherwise you are caking products on top of dirty skin and causing possible blemishes because of dirt buildup. Even if you don’t wear makeup you need to wash your face! Yes, it get’s dirty even without makeup.
How to choose the right cleanser?
Think about what your skin type is and what you need. Is your skin dry, is it oily, sensitive, acne prone? Once you’ve established your skin type then you can decide on what type of formula you like working with.
- Oil Cleanser
- Balm Cleanser
- Cream Cleanser
- Bar Soap
*I’ve highlighted my favorite picks for each skin type below.
*(All Skin Types) I have to start the review with their cleanser…because it’s my favorite!! As in my favorite cleanser ever? Quite possibly. You all know I’m crazy for oil cleansers. This one is in a league of it’s own. It is an oil but more of a creamy oil. It comes in a glass pump bottle which makes me love it even more. I always shake it up before I use it to make sure the product is evenly distributed. I get my skin slightly damp and then squeeze out a small amount and massage into my skin. The best part? It removes not only my face makeup but also my eye makeup-with no stinging! Yes, a miracle cleanser is what I call it. After I massage it all in, I then take a warm wash cloth and wipe off. My skin has never been better…seriously! It doesn’t dry out my skin at all but helps keep it so balanced. I’m obsessed with this cleanser and I want everyone to know! It’s rare as a green beauty blogger that I actually finish a product, but this one…it’s almost gone. I’m scraping what I can to get it all out. You all need this…end of story. Grab the Marie Veronique Cleanser here!
*(Normal/Combination/Oily Skin) I actually had the pleasure of sampling this face wash about 6 months ago. The product instantly captured my senses! It’s unlike any face wash I’ve used. First the smell is amazing! It has notes of fresh lime and tea tree that awaken your senses instantly. It foames up a little, but not overly. My skin feels so clean and balanced after using. It removed all my makeup effortlessly too. My skin feels brighter and awake after using. The product has french green clay and bentonite clay that not only help detoxify the skin but also deposit important minerals in it. It is such a different cleanser compared to others I’ve used, because while it is detoxifying, the texture feels similar to a cream cleanser. It’s really the best of both worlds. You get the benefits of a detoxifying cleanser, but the end result doesn’t feel like your skin has been stripped because of the creamy texture. Your skin feels clean, rid of makeup and restored. This really is a heroic product in my opinion and one I keep reaching for on the daily. Get your Linne Purify Face Wash here!
*(Normal/Problem/Combination Skin) This soap is their best selling soap and for good reason-it’s luxurious to it’s core. Made of Black Australian Clay and Dead Sea Mud, this facial soap doesn’t mess around. Plus, coconut milk, organic almond, avocado, and castor bean oils round out this beauty. It is recommended for normal, problem and combination skin. I have drier skin however and it worked amazing on me. It didn’t feel drying at all. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed, and clean but not tight and dry like a lot of bar soaps. It also gets rid of all my makeup too. Osmia recommends it for perioral dermatitis too. (Check out my full review of my experience with perioral dermatitis here). I have a soap saver from Osmia that I use with this soap as well and love. If you’ve been searching for a cleanser that gets the job done and gives your skin the clean feeling you crave-this is it. Get your Osmia Black Clay Bar Soap here!
*(All Skin Types) I love the simplicity of this cleanser. True Botanical’s has several different lines within their whole skincare line. This is the Basic’s line. It’s just like the name suggests. Very basic and simple. It’s not heavily scented, ingredients are minimal. Just a good all around cleanser. I had some other cleansers I needed to review but I kept wanting to use this one because it was so good. It is a milky consistency and smells so light. I get my face damp and then add the cleanser to my face in circular motions. It not only gets all my makeup off-yes mascara included but leaves my skin feeling hydrated and not stripped. Bonus: it’s completely safe for pregnancy. I wish I could let you all sample some to see how great it makes your skin feel! I’m addicted to it! And the price…crazy good! $32!! I mean you can’t beat that price. Snag your Hydrating Cleanser here!
*(Normal/Combination) This cleanser is milky smooth to the core! I love how it gets rid of all my makeup and grime but doesn’t strip my skin. It feels so silky on the skin. The scent is so pleasant too- I get hints of jasmine. It has lactic acid in it that helps to slough off the dead skin and reveal a bright glowing complexion. I love how it even removes my eye makeup effortlessly. I just rub it all over my eye area and it quickly picks up all the dirt and grime. Then I rinse off with water and then wipe clean with a warm washcloth. I also get my face a little damp before I apply the cleanser- helps to give it a little slip. My skin feels so clean but balanced and not too dry. Plus, I love that it comes in a pretty glass frosted bottle- swoon! Get your OSEA cleanser here!
*(All Skin Types) The newest cleanser in my green beauty arsenal is the Pamplemousse Cleanser from Leahlani! This cleanser launched just this last month and it’s one to take note of. If you’ve been around green beauty long enough then you know anything Leahlani makes is extra special. This cleanser is no exception. The first thing that takes you away is the scent. Not just any scent… it takes you away to a tropical island filled with most luscious fruits! It smells divine. And of course the scent is completely natural. It’s an oil cleanser but if you add just a touch of water it suds up ever so slightly creating the perfect slip- so good. I look forward to cleansing my skin every night…literally it’s like a skin treat! It gets rid of all my makeup effortlessly and leaves my skin feeling supple and hydrated. If you haven’t snagged one of these yet, get on it- you will love it! Grab your Pamplemousse here!
*(All Skin Types) This cleansing balm is SO good. I can’t stop using it. I never knew I had a thing for cleansing balms but apparently I love them! I just put a small dime size amount in my hand and then rub into my face. Towards the end I apply a little water to help turn it in a milky cleanser and to get all my eye makeup off. I add a little water towards the end to help remove all my eye makeup. It gets it all off and then some. The smell of rose envelops you in a sea of rose gardens- love the smell. After using it, my skin feels completely clean but still nourished and hydrated. Sometimes I’ll apply and rub in circular motions then I put a warm washcloth on top of my face and just let it sit there for a second- feels SO good! Not only does it melt everything away but also the stress of the day. Get your Lil Fox Cleanser here!
*(All Skin Types) The Unveil Cleanser is a definite fave-it’s so good!! I can’t get enough. First the scent is tantalizing. With notes of lemon, fragonia, ginger, pink peppercorn and cardamom. It smells like a burst of lemony bright goodness! It comes in a round wooden jar- Mahalo’s signature look. It’s so unique compared to any cleanser I’ve used-in a league of it’s own. Upon contact with your skin and a little water it melts and turns into this amazing lather. It removes all my makeup effortlessly and with no stinging around the eye area. Don’t get me started on all the ingredients-swoon worthy! I’m quite taken with all of it and can’t get enough! Trust me when I say you all will love this. My skin feels so balanced and nourished after. Get your Unveil Cleanser here!
*(All Skin Types) This cleanser is so good. First of all the packaging-on point. Dark glass pump bottle, preserves every last drop. It’s an oil cleanser. So you apply it on dry skin and rub in circular motions all over. It removes all my makeup effortlessly-yes even the stubborn eye makeup. When I’m ready to rinse it off I apply the slightest amount of water and rub it over my face. It really helps to break up anything lingering. It has the slightest emulsification when adding the water-which I love! Then I rinse with warm water and it comes off easily. A lot of oil cleansers you have to really rub off with a washcloth to get the product off but not with this cleanser. It’s so nice to have it come off so easy. My skin feels perfectly balanced after cleansing-not too dry or oily. I’m obsessed with this cleanser! Did I mention it smells amazing? Hints of lavender and chamomile pair together beautifully. And yes, the supercritical chia oil is the first ingredient! Plus, this cleanser is only $38-a serious steal for luxe skincare. If you’ve been searching for the IT cleanser-then you just found it. Get it here and thank me later!
*(Dry/Sensitive Skin) This has been a tried and true cleanser for me, whether it’s winter or summer. It really changes with the seasons quite well. First of all, I love the price. It’s $9.99 for a good sized tube, and usually you can find it on sale for 20% off. Not to mention, you can find it almost anywhere. A lot of natural cleansers don’t foam, and many people who switch over from main stream products, have a hard time with this. They’re used to the ultra foaming cleansers that strip your face…ring a bell? It offers a bit of foam, yet still creamy in texture, without stripping your skin. Have I mentioned the smell? Refreshing and clean. Removes all makeup, and leaves skin feeling clean but not tight. Get your Cleansing Cream here!
It’s time for the Art of Organics April Discovery: DEW. This month has been one of my favorite boxes with Art of Organics! It truly is such a good box. In the box this month we are seeing One Love Organics and Live Botanical. Most people know of One Love Organics if they’ve been in green beauty for a bit, but Live Botanical is a newer brand. I actually first discovered it almost a year ago and haven’t been able to put it down since! The products speak for themselves and the founder Carolyn truly is a little creator of skincare treats.
If you aren’t familiar with Art of Organics and this green beauty box, then keep reading as I explain why this box is one to get a hold of. Their belief is really simple-You shouldn’t have to sacrifice your health for beauty. I couldn’t agree more! Their goal is to bring people the cleanest, best, and most luxurious products. Claire the founder, has always been a beauty junkie and on the quest to purge her own makeup bag, she realized she wanted to share her journey with others and raise awareness. I noticed instantly after opening the box, the attention to detail. They name their boxes each month as well as follow a theme. The card inside describes the products in the box so well and gave directions for application. The box is $38, with a value of $70+ and features each month 2-4 full size products. They have high standards for their product selection, such as being cruelty free, organic and non-toxic. They have more specifics on the ingredients they don’t use here on their website.
On to the review…
This serum is actually not new to me, I had the pleasure of sampling it last summer. Truthfully, I was so excited after the first use! It’s unlike any product I’ve used. I apply it after toning and press it on my face. It leaves my skin feeling a bit wet but then it absorbs and fills in lines and evens out your whole complexion. I apply my moisturizer/oil after and then my makeup and love the end result. My skin is dewy and moist the whole day and doesn’t look haggard. Am I making sense? The first ingredient is aloe, which I’m all about-it replenishes the skin and plumps it up. Overall, the ingredient list is simple, yet the formula so effective. Perfect for even sensitive skin! You guys need this-it’s fantastic and a staple in my makeup routine!
I was SO excited to try this out! I’ve heard good things about Skin Dew and couldn’t wait to try it. Well, let me tell you it lives up to the hype! First of all I love how it doesn’t really have a scent. If anything you get a subtle, and I mean subtl scent of fresh coconut but nothing artificial or overwhelming and even then it’s hardly there. Something I know people who struggle to find a truly scent free product would appreciate. It looks like a whipped cream in the amber glass jar. You just want to scoop it up and eat it…but then you realize it’s skincare so you stop yourself! It feels so soft and silky to the touch but not super thick like butter- definitely lighter. However, it hydrates the skin like a thicker cream. I apply it after my serums and love how it makes my skin feel. It feels perfectly hydrated and not greasy. I also apply it in the morning after cleansing and love how my makeup goes on after. My skin feels nourished but not shiny. If you’re looking for a face cream- this is it!
I would hop on this month’s box soon if you’re thinking about snagging one. If you haven’t signed up for Art of Organics box you can sign up here! Don’t miss out on this fabulous green beauty box! Not only do you get quality products each month but for a steal. You pay $39 each month and get access to some stellar products. You can sign up for 3 months, 6 months and 12 months! At 6 and 12 months you start saving. Also, each month a theme is chosen around the box.
Have you tried any of the products this month? What are your thoughts?
This post has been a long time coming, but I’m finally dishing on the best green beauty oils/serums. I seriously have had an oils/serums post in the works forever. I have notes I jotted down about each one I tried. This is one product that you can’t just try in 2 weeks- it takes some time to really get to know the formula and see results. I’ve done my homework though and rounded out my favorite green beauty facial oils/serums. I often get asked which ones I like best in green beauty- so I knew I needed to eventually write a dedicated post.
Now you might be wondering why use an oil/serum on your face? Good question. First, I must explain what the difference is between an oil and a serum.
A serum is meant to target specific concerns of the skin and is usually a mixture of water, and ingredients like antioxidants, vitamins, etc. The molecule structure is smaller, so it’s able to penetrate the skin and do the work, repairing, replenishing and so on. I like to think of a serum as the real game changer when it comes to your skincare routine. It isn’t filled with a lot of extras, instead it’s loaded with all the potent, skin changing ingredients. Usually a serum is the most expensive product of a skincare line because it’s the most activated.
“My mantra as an esthetician has been, put your money into oils/serums and skimp on cleansers. Cleansers you wash off, an oil/serum stays on your skin doing the work.”
A facial oil is different. It’s going to give your skin moisture and nourishment, and obviously doesn’t include water. You want an oil to have a blend of essential fatty acids(EFA’s) or omegas. Our bodies don’t produce EFA’s on their own so we need to supplement them internally and externally. I like taking a fish oil daily for some good omega 3’s. Oils also can contain a mix of essential oils that help to balance the skin and provide therapeutic properties. Oil’s work perfectly with our skin’s cutaneous and get to the center of the epidermis. Many people with oily skin think they should avoid oils- when really the opposite is true. Using oils helps bring balance to the skin and don’t clog pores like other moisturizers that contain emulsifiers, waxes, etc.
Ok, now that you know the difference between an oil and a serum, let’s talk about when and how to use them.
This is how to apply an oil/serum:
- Cleanse skin
- Add a few drops of serum to your hands and press into your face(allow to seep in before applying oil, also don’t overdue it with a serum. They can contain powerful ingredients and often people apply too much which leads to sensitivity if not careful)
- Add a few drops of oil to your hands and press- in rub in with upwards streaks
- Apply eye serum(use your ring finger and apply in tapping motions. Your ring finger has the least muscles out of all your fingers)
- Finish with a cream if you need additional moisture and to protect skin(a cream doesn’t seep into the skin like an oil or serum will, it’s meant to protect the skin from environment and elements)
An oil/serum have the power to change your skin. Think words like resurface, hyper pigmentation, fade, even out skin tone, and so on. All words that perk people’s ears up when it comes to skincare. Often people give up on an oil or serum too early. I’ve seen it time and time again. They use a product for two weeks and say it doesn’t work or my skin is freaking out. You need to give oils and serums time to see change. Especially when it comes to clean skincare. If you’ve switched over from conventional it may take a period of time for your skin to adjust to your new products. Give it time and watch your skin take on a whole new look. Many of the products I list below are really powerful oils. I have a few dedicated serums as well.
Things I’ve noticed since using oils and serums:
- Hyper pigmentation fade
- Overall brighter/radiant complexion
- A more balanced complexion(doesn’t feel dry in certain areas)
- Less red and more even toned
Ready to see my favorites?? I’ve got options for low and high budgets and all kinds of skincare needs. These are products that I’ve personally tried over the years and can say they they work. So grab your note pad- it’s time to take notes! I’m not going to go into great detail about ingredients, or brands. I’ve done reviews on most of these already and will link the review so you can check out more details if you wish!
The Super Couple- (all skin types, even sensitive) Love this oil. The smell is so good, nothing over powering, just an amazing mixture of essential oils. It just feels so luxe the moment you apply. It’s not super heavy, but a nice medium rich feel. It literally absorbs so well into the skin leaving behind a pinkish hue that gives your skin a glow. My skin drinks up every drop of this oil. It helped to lighten my hyper pigmentation and even my skin tone. It also brightened my under eye mom circles- seriously. I started using this when I had a 4 month old and lets just say I needed all the help I could get. This oil is a game changer. Check out my full review here and grab one for yourself here!
Supercritical Pure Chia Oil- (dry skin, sensitive) This oil is from Maya Chia as well but it is different than The Super Couple. It smells more citrusy in my opinion but still light. This oil is made for even the driest skin types. Literally hydrating the most parched skin. It also has ingredients that plump up the skin and minimize fine lines. This is an all around super hydrator. I use it in the morning before my makeup or after a serum at night when I need some extra moisture. Your skin will feel like silk! Read more on the Supercritical Pure Chia Oil here and get one for yourself here!
Laurel Whole Plant Organics- (All skin types, sun damaged skin)
Sun Damaged Repair Facial Serum- This is a serum and oil in one that helps to repair sun damaged skin. The formula contains 27 whole organic plants! It helps to reverse the signs of aging that the sun brings. It also helps to brighten and fade age spots. The oil feels richer on the skin but it also seeps right in. When I used it I noticed a decrease in overall redness, faded sun spots and clearer skin tone. I just love how this oil feels on the skin too. Live Botanical- (normal/sensitive skin types/acne, budget friendly)
Clary Sage Chamomile Calming Serum- This serum is also an oil. It really is filled with so many therapeutic oils that help promote cell turnover and calm the skin. Great for those who have acne or have sensitive skin that wants to flare up. I love the smell of this oil! I get hints of rose and chamomile, but it’s not overwhelming. It’s not a super heavy feeling oil but a good medium texture. I noticed improved skin clearness, the redness was minimized- especially around my t-zone. I also noticed my skin felt so hydrated and smooth in the morning. Like it had a big gulp of water. My sisters used this as well when we were on vacation and they loved it too! This is a budget friendly oil. Read my full review here and snag your’s here!

I used this after several sleepless nights and it literally brought the life back into my skin. It’s true to it’s name- giving you your youthful skin back! There isn’t a long list of ingredients but the ones that are in there are effective. I also love using this before makeup. My foundation glides on. Bonus- my husband can use it too! Grab your bottle here!
Pure Radiance Oil- (all skin types) This rich oil does what it’s name suggests- gives you a radiance. It smells so fresh too. This oil is packed full of powerful antioxidants that do some serious work on the skin. It’s True Botanical’s best selling product and for good reason- it performs. It not only hydrates the skin to the core, but also provides antioxidants to help fight free radical damage. My skin looks renewed and dewy when using this oil. I often feel like a broken record, but True Botanical’s products perform. Even though I try many serums/oils I find myself reaching for this one often when I need an extra surge of hydration and a pick me up. Read my full review here and snag your bottle here!
Basics Collection Hydrating Oil- (budget friendly, ok for pregnancy) This oil is from True Botanical’s Basic Collection. It’s a more budget friendly line from True Botanicals and I love it. This oil doesn’t feel quite as heavy as True Botanicals Pure Radiance Oil. It has the signature TB scent but much lighter. This oil is completely safe for pregnancy too. It really just delivers all around. From hydration to soothing the skin and it has antioxidants that help fight signs of aging too. This is such a good deal for what you get! Read my full review here and get your bottle here!
Basics Collection Hydrating Serum- (budget friendly, ok for pregnancy) Another budget friendly option from TB’s Basic’s Collection. This is a traditional serum that isn’t going to hydrate on it’s own but assist in hydrating your skin with hyaluronic acid. It penetrates deep into the skin, leaving lasting hydration and helping fight free radical damage. I really loved how this made my skin feel. It would feel completely plump and moist. I felt my skin looked more youthful because all my wrinkles weren’t defined from being dried out but were filled with water. Huge fan! Read my full review here and get yourself a bottle here!
Leahlani- (dry, combination, sensitive skin)
Mahina- This elixir oil quickly became a fave. It not only hydrates your skin, but nourishes it with nutrients while you sleep. You wake up with smooth, even skin. One particular oil that Leah put in that I love is prickly pear seed oil. It has been known to help brighten skin, fight signs of aging and moisturize like crazy. A definite home run oil. The biggest thing I noticed right away with Mahina is how much it calmed my redness. Especially around my nose. My skin felt replenished and soothed. The smell is of course wonderful too, as are all of Leahlani’s products. Read my full review on Leahlani here and grab your Mahina here!
Marie Veronique- (acne, sensitive, rosacea)
Soothing B3 Serum-This is a powerful serum! It’s main ingredient B3 helps calm inflammation and help ceramide rejuvenate production. It acts like a gel when it goes on your skin, leaving a serious glow all day long. I feel like everyone needs this! Got hormonal breakouts, acne or redness?? This serum helps to reduce inflammation, which causes all acne. My redness was reduced and my skin looked more even and clear. I love that it is fragrance free and essential oil free, great for those with the most sensitive skin types. Great for night time or day time, this is a must in anyone’s skincare routine! Get your Soothing B3 Serum here!
Kahina- (all skin types)
Brightening Serum- I’ve been using this serum for 5 years and it still remains one of my faves! It helps to minimize dark spots and hyper pigmentation and bring an overall brightness to my complexion. It also helps to fight free radical damage and protect your skin from the environment. It’s such a great thing to have in your bag to apply everyday. Not only does it protect but also deliver nutrients to help treat your skin as well. Grab your bottle here!
Acure- (budget Friendly, all skin types)
Seriously Glowing Facial Serum- This is another great serum that really works and doesn’t break the bank. Full of all organic ingredients like pumpkin seed oil, borage oil and argan oil, this little bottle packs a punch. It’s heavier then some serums, definitely more of a rich oil. It smells so good too-the scents that stick out to me are lavender and orange. This felt like a drink of water for my skin. I would wake up in the morning and my skin would just feel so plump…in a good way. Grab your ACURE Seriously Glowing Facial Serum!
Well, that’s a wrap! See any faves? What are some of your must have oils/serums??
I’m so glad to finally be posting my review of Flourish Natural Body Care. I had a slew of hair products I’ve been testing as of late, and trying to get them all equal hair time has been a challenge! However, I couldn’t wait to share with you guys this line. It really is a standout. Their products are made in Vermont, and they source their herbs from their farm or local farms-pretty cool!
Flourish all started when Kirsten Connor, the founder, started to make soap. She was fascinated with the process, and went from soaps to making shampoo. She calls herself a ‘make it from scratch’ kind of person. Well, I’m glad she kept testing and developing, because today she has some great products. Flourish carries everything from body soap, scrubs, butters and shampoos-a one stop body care shop.
I tried the Patchouli Tangerine Volumizing Shampoo+Salt, the Patchouli Tangerine Volumizing Conditioner+Salt, the Patchouli Tangerine Texturizing Cream, and the Patchouli Tangerine Texturizing Spray. Now keep in mind this is going to be more for fine/thin textured hair, which is my hair all the way! They have lines for curly hair, dry hair, and clarifying shampoos. The Patchouli Tangerine Line may not be for you, but there’s so much more to choose from on their website here.
This shampoo is awesome! Plain and simple. Can I be honest? Whenever I get sent a natural shampoo and conditioner my hopes aren’t very high. It’s hard to come by a good natural shampoo that performs. Well, this shampoo did not disappoint! Why is it so great? Well, it actually cleans my hair for starters. Not only does it feel clean, but it suds up when I use it, another huge perk. With my hair being so fine and thin, if I don’t blow dry it and let it hair dry, I usually end up with greasy hair. I have to blow dry it so it doesn’t feel greasy, and to give it volume. However, with this shampoo I could let it air dry, and brush it out and no oily residue! The smell is just like the name suggests-patchouli and tangerine. I recommend this for anyone who has fine or thin hair, and hasn’t found that natural shampoo yet. Also, it’s a steal compared to a lot of the shampoos on the market today. For $17, it’s hard to beat the price.
Again, love this conditioner. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, but yet gives it enough moisture. This and the shampoo, is a winning combo. I’m able to brush my hair out easily after the shower. The shampoo and conditioner is also good for color treated hair. Get them both, you won’t be disappointed! $17
This is similar to sea salt sprays you may have used in the past. It enhances natural wave in the hair, and gives it that textured beach look. I applied it after I curled my hair, and loved the tousle and texture it gave. It doesn’t give any real hold, but I liked that because then my hair didn’t feel heavy or greasy the next day. I could just brush through and apply it again. I also sprayed it on my towel dried hair, and it gave some natural wave to my straight hair. A great addition to the shampoo and conditioner I mentioned above! $22
This cream has a gritty like texture at first, but once you put it in your hair, it melts into a more clear cream. I only needed a little(as in hardly any), and it gave my hair some smoothness and texture. I applied after my hair was curled to bring some separation. This would be the best for someone with coarse/dry hair/curly hair, because it would really give the hair moisture without weighing down. This isn’t something I would use on a regular basis just because it is heavy for my fine/thin hair. I can see myself using this maybe more in the summer when my hair is dried out from the sun. $26
That wraps up my Flourish Body Care review. They have been so kind to offer 20% off to all my readers using coupon code: gurlgonegreen. Not only do they carry the products I reviewed above, but so many more! Check them all out here. Have you used any of their products?
I’m so excited to finally share with you guys my Innersense Beauty hair review! As a hairstylist, one of the hardest things to transition from mainstream to nontoxic was hair products. I mean it’s hard enough to find a shampoo and conditioner that works, but it can be even harder to find non-toxic hair products. What drew me to Innersense in the first place was Innersense standards. They are committed to not only having quality products, but products that perform. A hard thing to find in green beauty today. I wanted a product that I could recommend to someone that was comparable, if not better than what they would find at a salon. Well, look no further peeps, I’ve struck gold!
Now, let me briefly share about Innersense Beauty and their values-it will make you love the brand even more. The founders of Innersense, Greg and Joanne Starkman, were in the beauty and wellness industry for years when they realized their beliefs weren’t matching up with their professional lives. This birthed Innersense, a company that prides itself on integrity. Their whole philosophy is so commendable and just down right amazing! From actually listing every ingredient and why it’s in there, to environment sustainability, kindness to animals, and giving back…the list could go on. I mean the ingredient glossary alone is so cool. (more…)
