Dusty Girls had contacted me a couple weeks ago and sent me their Earth Cream and Blush. To be honest, I had never heard of them but I wish I would have…their stuff is legit! They are an Australian company but have a US base as well. Their premise is that your skin looks better once it’s been in the country. Fresh faced with the minerals (more…)
I’ve waited to write this post for a while. Mainly because I wanted to offer something for every skin type, and with varying price points too. I can confidently say I would buy all my recommendations again and again, they’re all that great! (more…)
They say eyes are the windows to the soul, well if that’s true then eyebrows are pretty important. I mean hello… they’re framing your eyes! We want those babies in tip top shape. I notice people’s eyebrows (more…)
I recently was able to try out Skin brand’s facial and body products. They are a company located in Kansas City, Kansas. Stephanie Simkins the owner, has strict standards when it comes to her products. I love that she chooses ethical sourcing, and works with companies like Mountain Rose Herbs. They are very strict on where their products are produced and quality.
Below is a review of the products I tested:
Naked Face Unscented Wash-
I really love this cleanser. It is made with organic oils like coconut, jojoba, and aloe vera juice, yet is has a nice foam to it. It removed all my makeup easily, and left my skin feeling refreshed and clean. For being as foaming as it is, I was surprised how my skin didn’t feel as dry. It isn’t scented, which is great for those with sensitive skin. I would definitely recommend this for those with oily, combination, or sensitive skin that want an overall gentle cleanser that gets the job done.
Hydrating Face Serum-
This is a great serum for at night. It does the preventative work we all need. It has so many anti-aging oils in it like rosehip seed oil, pomegranate oil, and meadowfoam seed oil. It perfectly hydrated my skin, but didn’t leave it greasy! Which is huge in my book. In the morning my skin felt supple and smooth. I didn’t even need a moisturizer after I put it on. I also love that it comes in a glass bottle.
Apricot Eye Makeup Remover-
I was so excited to try this product out! Since going all “green” with my skincare products I’ve noticed most eye makeup removers are made with some kind of coconut oil. I’ve had a lot of women ask for an eye makeup remover that doesn’t make their eyes feel greasy and isn’t just coconut oil. Tada, I’ve found it peeps! This is an amazing eye makeup remover, and does it’s job well. Not only does it easily remove all my makeup, but it doesn’t leave my lids greasy. Oh and it smells lovely too! Get it, you will love it!
Tropical Orange Hand Cream-
This is another product of theirs I fell in love with. I love a good hand cream and one that doesn’t leave my hands greasy, but just moisturized. This does just that. It has a buttery whipped texture, and it smells like orange creme! I also love that it comes in an eco-conscious glass jar. Perfect size for carrying in your purse too!
Naked Face and Body Wash-
This is a great two in one for those wanting something simple, and easy when it comes to their body and face wash. It is unscented as well, so you won’t have to worry about any overpowering scent. I did find for me I missed a scent for my body wash, but I have found some people prefer an unscented one. I also preferred the foaming facial cleanser over this cleanser.
Naked Foam Unscented Shave Cream and Wash-
I was excited to try this as well, as there are not a lot of organic/natural shaving cream options out there. It was great that it foamed, but I found it wasn’t as moisturizing and thick as I was hoping it would be. It offered a great slip for my shaver to glide over, but it didn’t leave my skin as silky soft as previous shaving creams have. It is a body wash as well, so if you are looking for a two in one this would be a good option.
