April Clean Beauty Faves

Sharing my April Clean Beauty Faves with you!  It’s that time of the month where I pull back the curtain on the best of the best in natural beauty and share what I’ve been loving.

This month there’s a little of everything but a couple products from the same brand.  Because when it’s good you have to share!

Spring is totally in the air and it has me craving all the warm weather which definitely plays a role in my clean beauty picks!  Hope you love them as much as I do.  Also, don’t forget to hit up my Instagram for a chance to win all these products!

Ilia takes the cake when it comes to natural beauty that is both affective and clean!

Ilia True Skin Serum Primer

I was SO excited to get this in the mail.  It was backordered for a while from Aillea and I was on the edge of my seat to get one of the first bottles the minute it came back into stock.  Ilia is on of those green beauty brands that’s been around from the beginning and keeps producing stellar products.  They work like conventional products and offer the same benefits.

I love their True Skin Serum Foundation so I knew I had to try their True Skin Serum Primer.  It basically had my name written all over it.  It’s a liquid primer with a hint of shimmer.  Nothing crazy people.  You can’t even see it.  It gives your skin a lit from within glow.  It’s meant to be applied after your moisturizer, right before foundation application.  You will feel your skin tighten slightly and your fine lines filled in.  It creates such a smooth even canvas for your makeup to be applied.  It even helps to diminish pores.  My skin looked lit from within and had such a glow.  I can’t get enough!  It doesn’t make your skin feel greasy at all but has a weightless moisture feel to it.  You’re skin really does look like it’s glowing.  Check it out here!

Ilia Eye Primer

I’ve talked about this nonstop but as the weather has warmed up there is no denying my need for this even more.  It keeps my eyeshadow in place like nothing else.  The pigment stands out and is richer because of this primer.  Gone are the days of creasing shadows that fade as the day goes on.  This Primer is in a league of it’s own!

I apply it to my eye lid all over.  Then take my finger and tap it into my eyelid.  Then apply my shadow. (BTW, check out my favorite eye shadow in green beauty here- seriously nothing compares)!  It gives my shadow something to adhere to.  If you haven’t found a natural beauty eye primer yet, then look no further.  This wand eye primer does the job so well! Check it out here!

Suntegrity 5-in-1 Moisturizing Lotion Tint is such an amazing BB cream that offers sun protection.

Suntegrity 5-In-1 Moisturizing Face Sunscreen Tinted

This BB cream is so good!  It definitely hits all the marks for a great tinted sunscreen.  From superb coverage, hydration and good tint.  Plus, it offers a broad spectrum spf of 30.  It provides spf coverage with non-nano zinc oxide.  It also comes in four colors which makes it easy to find one that matches your skin tone.

I love this tinted moisturizer because it feels more like a foundation to me then just a lotion with a slight tint.  I like a little more coverage and this provides it without looking cakey or overly done.  It wears well in the water too!  I love how smooth and even the formula looks on the skin.  Trust me, you’ll love it!  Grab yours here!

Fitglow Beauty Colour Lip Serums are in a league of their own!

Fitglow Beauty New Lip Colour Serum Duo in Kind+ Rose

This is one of Fitglow’s newest launches.  If you’ve followed me you know I have a thing for their lip serums!  They are like nothing you’ll use.  I’m not a huge fan of glosses but these are so different than a traditional gloss.  They don’t look goopy or tacky but glide on your skin effortlessly and provide such a smooth finish.  What’s even cooler is that they’re filled with antioxidants and vitamins that not only nourish your lips but keep them looking young and fresh.  It’s like a lip serum with color and a subtle shine- what more could you want?!

My lips stay hydrated and have a subtle shine.  I also love how the color pigment looks.  It’s not overwhelmingly but just enough to give your lips a little pop.  They have so many amazing color options to choose from so if you’re not a fan of Kind and Rose, check them all out.  I also can’t get enough of Bliss, Go, Gospel and Nudie.  Ok, clearly I have a problem they’re all gorgeous!  Check out all the colors here!

Maya Chia’s newest product the Refresh Mint is a mask you’ll keep coming back too!

Maya Chia Refresh Mint Mask

This mask is one of the newest products to hit Maya Chia’s line.  To try a Maya Chia product is to love it!  They perform so well.  So when I was sent the newest Refresh Mint Mask, I basically had to hold myself back from using it the minute I got it.  This is unlike any mask I’ve used before in natural beauty.

It’s a resurfacing moisture mask.  It takes a drab complexion and instantly awakens it and gives it a glow.  If your skin is feeling less than, this mask is for you.  It uses 4 different types of acids, enzymes, moisturizers to help slough off dead skin cells, hydrate and give you your glow back.  A little magic potion in a bottle.  I apply it to dry clean skin.  Once applied I let it sit on my skin until its dry.  Then rinse off with warm water.  My skin is left with a glow, and smoothness that makes your skin look radiant!  I’m so excited to keep using it and see my skin improve overtime. Get it here!

Malu SPF Moisturizer by Honua Skincare not only hydrates skin but also acts as a primer!

Honua Skincare Malu

Malu is a protection day cream with spf 30.  It comes in a dark glass pump bottle- I love that you can turn the cap for when you travel.  It comes out white when you apply it to your skin but quickly fades to clear as you rub it in.  The natural sun protectant in the formula is non-nano zinc oxide.  It feels SO nice on the skin.  It hydrates but doesn’t leave behind a greasy residue.

It really feels like a nice primer too.  Really filling in lines and creating a perfect canvas for makeup application.  I also felt I had a bit of a glow using it.  I really dig it!  Some facial sunscreens can feel heavy or greasy but not Malu!   A great way to protect your skin in the summer months but even year round it would be great under makeup or by itself.  Get it here!

What I love to about Beautycounter is that they not only offer skincare and makeup but body products, hair products and baby products.  Basically your one stop shop when it comes to natural beauty!

Volume and Shape Shampoo and Conditioner-

beautycounter Volume and shape shampoo

My favorite natural shampoo in green beauty!

I feel like a broken record with this one but I seriously cannot stop talking about it because it’s so good!  This shampoo is an all star when it comes to fine/thin haired gals.  It suds up so well.  My hair feels clean and it doesn’t weigh it down.  The conditioner still does feel like it hydrates without adding weight.  My hair is color treated so I do like a little hydration otherwise my lighter pieces can look a little dry.  I wash my hair every other day. Basically if you’ve been searching for natural shampoo that legit works- this is your gem! Get it here!

Eyebrow Gel-

This eyebrow gel has stolen my heart!  It give my eyebrows a natural look and also provides some good hold.  I love how there is no red in the formula!  Something that is hard to find in natural beauty.  They even offer a clear version for those that don’t need color but just some hold.  Get it here!

Lip Sheers

Beautycounter lip sheers

These lip sheers are the perfect lippy for spring and summer!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I tried the lip sheers and was pleasantly surprised how much I liked them.  I’m not a gloss girl and so this is the perfect middle ground between a lipstick and gloss.  One of Beautycounter’s best sellers for good reason.  It feels like a really hydrating lip balm but not goopy or tacky.  Glides on your lips giving a hint of sheen and some color. The color pigment is more translucent and just a hint.  The perfect everyday lip color to throw on.

I can see myself wearing these a lot especially in the spring and summer.  These would be great for teenagers especially in my opinion.  Not as dramatic as a lipstick but still offers a little color.  I love the colors Rose, Poppy and Petal!  But those are the only colors I have so I’m pretty sure I would love any of them.  Petal is the perfect nudist pink- I can’t stop wearing it!  See all the colors here!

Eyeshadows

Beautycounter eyeshadow review

These are the best natural beauty eyeshadows I’ve tried!

Ok, if you’ve been following me then you know I love Beautycounter’s eyeshadow palettes!  They are the BEST in green beauty.  Seriously- I’ve tried them all and nothing compares…nothing.  The pigment is rich, the texture glides on and the longevity- SO good.  They stay the whole day no creasing.  I use the Ilia Primer before I apply the shadows and it works like a charm.  I can’t tell you how many people compliment my shadows too- it’s because they’re seriously gorgeous.  I can’t get enough of them.  I have the Classic Palette, and Statement Palette but I want them all!  Get a palette and thank me!

Bronzer

Beautycounter Blush and bronzer review

Beautycounter blush and bronzer offer so much pigment in clean beauty!

This bronzer is another fave.  People ask me what bronzer I have been using lately and it’s this one!  The moment I tried it I knew I would love it.  I’m picky when it comes to bronzers- super picky.  I find it’s really hard to find a true bronze brown color and not have it look orange.  Anyone else feel me on this?!  Then Beautycounter’s came into my lap and I haven’t been able to stray since using it.  It doesn’t look orange and it’s pressed- I repeat pressed!  Loose bronzers are just one more step and messy- not what I want to add to my plate.  Get the bronzer too- everyone needs bronzer in my opinion, it warms you up in seconds!  They have several different colors, I wear the color Dune.  Get it here!

Blush

I was sold after my first swipe of their blushes- literally these are the best powder blushes I’ve used.  I love that they’re pressed and not loose- less mess.  I also love the color pay off. They nailed the color Nectar!  It’s the perfect Nars dupe of Orgasm and basically goes with almost anyone’s skin tone.  It’s SO pretty!  I also have the punchy pink color Guava and can’t get enough of it either. They stay on so well and blend great into the skin.  They don’t look cakey at all.   I’m telling you, try the blushes already- you’ll thank me!  Check out all the color here!

Resurfacing Peel

Beautycounter Resurfacing Peel

This peel gives you a glow in no time!

I had to share the resurfacing peel!  If you haven’t tried it you’re missing out, plain and simple.  It works so well at minimizing fine lines, dark spots and sloughing off dead skin.  It uses 3 different acids, malic, lactic and glycolic to improve texture and tone of the skin.  You put it on your skin like you would a serum at night and wake up with skin that looks refreshed, smooth and glowing.  I’m not surprised this is a best seller!  Get the peel already.

Countermatch Eye Cream

Beautycounter eye cream

Love Beautycounter’s Body Cream and Eye Cream.

This eye cream is one of the best eye creams.  I find it hard to find eye creams that aren’t too heavy.  This one is just the right amount of moisture.  It hydrates but quickly soaks right into the eye area.  I love using this at night or in the morning before I apply my makeup.  It’s also not crazy expensive too!  Get it here!

Makeup Wipes

Say hello to your new favorite wipe…but really!  These are in a league of their own.  I kept hearing people say to try the wipes and so of course I did!  These wipes have the perfect moisture amount.  I had yet to find a green beauty wipe that worked so well.  They were either to dry or not soft enough.  Beautycounter hit all the marks on these wipes.  They are soft, moist and even biodegradable.  If you’re a wipe gal you need these!  Perfect for travel too.  You could even cut them in half to make them last longer.  Get them here!

Body Cream-

Beautycounter Review

Sharing my full review on Beautycounter’s makeup remover wipes and Rejuvenating Toner Pads.

I’ve been lathering this on after showering and not sure when I will stop.  It is truly so hydrating and indulgent.  It has a citrus mimosa scent that is so decadent!  I’m more of a body cream gal and I can’t get enough of this.  It keeps my skin moist long after applying and isn’t oily feeling.  Plus, it absorbs so well into my skin, no greasy feeling.  Get your body cream here!

Rejuvenating Toner Pads-

I’ve been using these for a month and I can’t stop.  I haven’t found anything like them in natural beauty.  They are a toner pad.  So it’s a cotton pad that already has the toning elixir on it.  You just take a pad and wipe it all over your fave.  It Instantly  refreshes your skin.  I love that I can see how clean my skin actually is!  It shows if I’m really cleansing my skin well enough.  Plus, these are perfect in warm weather when we tend to get a little sweaty.  I love having these on hand to wipe away the sweat quick so it doesn’t just sit on my skin and cause…you know breakouts.  Trust me, you’ll love them!  Get them here!

Ok, clearly I have some favorites that I’ve come to love!  If you’ve tried Beautycounter products I want to hear what you love and can’t stop using.  Leave me a comment!

Best Natural Beauty Concealers

Best Natural Beauty Concealers

Ok, you asked for this best natural beauty concealers post!  I’ve been working on this post for a while, excited to finally share.  I get this question several times a week.

What is the best natural beauty concealer?

I get it, I once was there too.  The thing is everyone looks for different things in their concealer.  Some want an under eye concealer and some want to hide imperfections.

And yes, under eye concealers are a lot different than a concealer you want to use to cover your zit- just sayin’.  I mean you can use a lot of under eye concealers on your face too but you probably don’t want to use a lot of your heavy concealers under your eyes.

So I’m outlining my absolute favorites in natural beauty.  What they’re best at when concealing and how I use them.

Consider yourself checked into concealer school!

natural beauty concealers

Fitglow Beauty Conceal + delivers when it comes to a natural beauty concealer.

Fitglow Beauty Conceal +-

Holy moly!  This is my newest fave concealer find in natural beauty and let’s just say it straight delivers.  It comes in a wand form, which I love.  It isn’t super thick but not runny thin either. It dries nicely though and doesn’t feel wet.  I like this for under the eyes and for covering lighter blemishes or hyper pigmentation.  It’s not going to cover a tattoo, (yes one of the concealers I’m going to recommend will).  It just stays put so well and blends nicely into the skin.  If you do apply in underneath your eyes, you still need to set it with a translucent powder. Like this one.  I also like applying this underneath my nose for combating redness.  This one is also pretty non-comedogenic friendly for anyone prone to breakouts.  Get it here!

natural beauty concealers

RMS Beauty Un Cover UP was one of the first concealers I tried in natural beauty.

RMS Beauty Concealer-

This was the first natural beauty concealer I used.  It’s been a long favorite of mine.  It comes in a glass pot.  It melts so easily into the skin.  It literally looks like you’re not wearing anything.  Yet, it covers redness well.  It feels very smooth and a bit oily.  Not bad oily but it is made of coconut oil so it does get a little oily feeling as you work with it in your hands.  It will cover blemishes but I don’t recommend it for people with blemish prone skin because it is made of coconut oil, a high comedogenic ingredient.  This is great under eyes too, as it looks smooth and seamless.  I would just be sure to set it with a translucent powder as well.  This is really like a foundation, concealer in one.  Often I’ll just wear this and not wear any foundation.  It makes my skin feel pulled together but not overdone.  Get it here!

natural beauty concealers

Clove and Hollow delivers with their concealer!

Clove and Hollow Concealer-

This is another concealer I discovered last year and have been loving!  It also comes in a wand form.  It feels similar to the Fitglow Beauty Concealer but thicker. It feels a little wet initially but then as you blend it in it dries matte.  It covers blemishes so well and redness!  It I have tried it under the eyes but it was a little too matte for me and looked cakey.  You could add a little oil to it- just a smidge to make it a little less matte.  I really like this for everywhere else!  It’s easy to work with, lasts all day and covers it all!  Get it here!

natural beauty concealers

Beautycounter is one of the best under eye concealers in green beauty!

Beautycounter Concealer-

This is a new fave for under the eyes!  I don’t like it for covering blemishes or redness on the face, it’s too wet of a formula.  But it works great for under the eye area because it is a little wetter of a formula.  I can blend it in really well and it covers dark circles and discoloration under the eyes.  It comes in a pen/brush formula.  You push the cap on the bottom and the formula comes out easily on this paint brush like applicator.  You then apply that to the eye area and pat the formula in with your fingers.  It brightens up your eye but doesn’t look cakey!  I also dust a little translucent powder on top of the concealer to help set it.  Get it here!

natural beauty concealers

Hynt Beauty Concealer covers it all!

Hynt Beauty Concealer-

This has been a long time fave.  It literally can cover tattoos- yep it’s true.  This is the thickest concealer by far.  It comes in a glass pot.  You can use your finger or a concealer brush to apply it.  I like using a concealer brush since it’s a little on the thicker side- less messy.  I just apply wherever I have a blemish or redness and blend in.  It’s not for under the eye area at all. Too thick.  This will last all day too.  When I talked to the founder before she said makeup artists especially liked it for movie sets because of the longevity and coverage.  If you’re looking for a heavy duty concealer that will completely cover it all, this is it!  Get it here!

natural beauty concealers

W3ll People Concealer is great for under the eyes.

W3ll People-

Last but not least is the W3ll People Concealer.  This concealer comes in a tube form and is more of a wet formula.  It squirts out of a tube.  I don’t like this as much for covering redness or blemishes.  I find it doesn’t last all day and it is too thin to offer me the coverage I like.  Instead I like using this for underneath my eye area.  I just squirt the formula out and then use my fingers to tap under my eyes.  It helps to even out discoloration under the eye area and perk up tired eyes.  Of course I add a little translucent powder to the under eye area too to set it.  You don’t have too but I find I’ll get creasing if I don’t. Get it here!

Well, that sums up the best natural beauty concealers!  See any faves?  What is your favorite?

Natural Beauty Faves For February

Natural Beauty Faves For February

Who wants to hear what my natural beauty faves for February are?  Ok, well listen up because I’ve got the pulse.  I did this in January and you guys loved it, so I’m going to do this every month!  It’s hard to keep up on the latest and greatest when it comes to natural beauty products, so I’m going to do all the heavy lifting for you.

Some of these products are new releases, some of them are just new to me.  So sit back, grab your drink of choice and listen in as I give you all the juicy details on my natural beauty faves for February!

Kosas Tinted Facial Oil

Want your skin to glow and not look dry and crepey this winter? Then grab some Kosas Tinted Facial Oil!

Kosas Tinted Facial Oil-

Ok, so you know how the winter can turn your skin into looking dry and crepey?  Basically you end up looking older because your foundation makes your skin look dry and patchy.  I’ve seen it on myself and I’ve seen it on countless of people.  Not a pretty look!  Winter can just be downright harsh!

Well, thankfully there are foundations that not only give your skin the coverage you want but also make your skin look dewy.  My skin literally glows with this foundation!  I always get so many compliments when wearing this foundation.  People always say my skin looks so healthy and dewy.

The texture is different than any foundation I’ve used. It’s an oily paint thinner like feel more liquid feel then creamy- I know so weird but that’s an accurate description.  It offers light to medium coverage.  I thought I wouldn’t like it because I didn’t think it would offer enough coverage for me, but it actually gives a good amount of coverage.  I wear the color 03.  If you want your skin to look dewy and moist- this is it!  Grab it here!

Fitglow Beauty Night Lip Serum

Take your lips to the next level with Fitglow Beauty’s Night Lip Serum!

Fitglow Night Lip Serum-

I was SO excited to try this!  I’m all about taking care of my lips.  Lips are kind of a neglected area on your body. Did you know that  on your lips the stratum corneum is much thinner than anywhere else on your body.  Basically it’s the top layer of your skin that helps to protect your lips from the environment.   Another interesting fact is your lips don’t have any any sebaceous glands.  Sebaceous glands are what helps to keep your lips moisturized.  So your lips literally are on their own!

That’s why it’s so important to hydrate them since they aren’t getting any additional help.  In comes Fitglow Night Lip Serum.  This lip serum is in a league of it’s own!  I’ve tried other lip serums, but this one is hands down my favorite!  I apply it on my lips at night and I wake up to the smoothest, softest and hydrated lips.  It’s a clear formula that is filled with antioxidants that help with keeping your lips from looking weathered and old.

Plus, it has vegetable collagen which helps to keep the moisture intact and gives lips fullness.  The plant ceramides in the formula work to hydrate at the very core of your lips which helps to repair your moisture barrier and prevent from future moisture loss.  I don’t know about you but my lips need all the help they can get!  Especially in the winter.  I’m obsessed!  Get your lip serum here!

I Create Waves Review

Can’t get enough of Innersense Beauty’s I Create Waves texture salt spray!

Innersense I Create Waves Texture Spray-

Innersense just knows how to create exceptional hair products.  The founders are stylists themselves which definitely helps.  They know the hair and they know what it needs.  This salt spray is their newest product and I couldn’t wait to try it!  I used it once and knew it was going to be a fave.

A lot of texture or salt sprays can weigh the hair down a bit.  Not this one.  It gives my hair some decent hold, almost like a subtle hair spray, and then it adds texture.  Not heavy texture that gets super crunchy.  This is effortless texture that makes it feel like your hair just did it on it’s own.

I love spraying it in my hair to break up my curls after I curl my hair.  It gives my hair a tousled look.  I’m excited to travel because I don’t even think I would bring a hair spray- just this!  It offers enough hold.  This would work great for those with curly hair too as it would help to liven up your natural curls.  SO excited to have this in the summer months!  Get your I Create Waves Texture Spray here!

Ursa Major Flash Mask

This Ursa Major Flash Mask is perfect for winter months for a gentle exfoliation.

Ursa Major 3-in-1 Flash Mask-

So winter can be brutal like we talked about.  I find you almost have to baby your skin a little more.  We all know we need to exfoliate, but manual exfoliants can be too harsh for winter months.  Well, that’s where Ursa Major 3-in-1 Flash Mask comes in!

This mask gets you glowing in 3 minutes flat- just like the name suggests.  It’s perfect for the most sensitive skin types.  Worried your skin might react to a mask?  This may be the one for you.  Instead of using harsher manual exfoliants that can cause your skin to flare or get red, it uses enzymes to dissolve dead skin cells, this mask does in 3 minutes what some some masks take 15 or 20 to do.  It looks like a gel and feels light and refreshing on the skin.  The perfect gentle exfoliant for winter.

If you’re perpetually running late, this may be the mask for you!  I put it on before I brush my teeth and rinse off once I’m done.  The perfect amount of time to get a quick glow for the rest of the day.  Get your Ursa Major Flash Mask here!

True Botanicals Review

The Overnight Moisture Mask gives your skin it’s hydration back!

True Botanical’s Moisture Lock Overnight Mask-

Ok, I literally just posted my True Botanical’s review last Friday, you can read about this natural skincare powerhouse here. But this mask is too good to not share again!  I’ve had it in my skincare rotation now and I can’t get enough.  This mask really offers some serious hydration.  You cleanse your skin and apply your products as you would normally and then you apply the mask.

Instead of rinsing it off you sleep in it!  When you wake up your skin is silky smooth and moisturized.  Like a big gulp of water for your skin.  I put down a hand towel on my pillow so the product didn’t get on my pillow case.  But it really does soak in to the skin so well you hardly notice anything.

I can’t think of a better product for your skin in the dry winter months!  It literally nourishes the skin so well.  I notices minimized redness too and an overall hydrated look to my skin since using.  Foundation looks better too!  Get it here!

Beautycounter Volume & Shape

A natural shampoo and conditioner that cleans my fine/thin hair and doesn’t weigh it down. A natural beauty win!

Beautycounter Volume & Shape Shampoo-

If you follow me you know I tried the Daily Shampoo & Conditioner by Beautycounter and it worked for my hair for 2 weeks and then I could tell something was off.  My hair just wasn’t styling like normal and it kept falling flat.  I knew the shampoo wasn’t going to work for my fine/thin hair.  People love it though, so if you have thicker hair, it may work great for you.

So I bought the Beautycounter Volume & Shape Shampoo and Conditioner instead and let’s just say my hair loves this formula!!  My hair feels bouncy, has volume, and styles great.  It doesn’t feel weighed down at all.  My hair feels clean but not stripped.  Something that’s hard to find in green beauty.

If you have fine hair and it’s thick or thin, try this.  It’s been a game changer for my hair.  Plus, I love how it smells good, but doesn’t have a strong smell.  Just subtle.  So excited to find a clean shampoo that works so well!  Get it here!

Rejuvenating Toner Pads

These Beautycounter Rejuvenating Toner Pads are like nothing I’ve tried in clean beauty!

Beautycounter Rejuvenating Toner Pads-

These little pads have quickly taken up residence in my skincare routine.  I’ve never found anything like them in natural beauty.  They are little round cotton toner pads that help to tone the skin and give your skin essential antioxidants like Vitamin C and fruit acids to help your minimize fine lines. They also contain lentil seed extract which helps to tighten pores- can I get an amen on that?!

Plus, they have algae extract which helps to brighten- um yes please!  And jambu extract that helps skin that youthful, firm look.  I cleanse my skin and then take one of these bad boys and swipe it all over my skin.  My skin just sings a little every time I use one!  I can’t get enough.  Another reason I love using them is it shows me if I have leftover residue on my skin.  You know, if it’s actually clean?

Sounds silly, but I find sometimes people aren’t actually cleansing their skin properly and that contributes to their skin issues, especially breakouts.  If you’re not getting your skin clean, you’re going to have bacteria sitting on the top of your skin.  Not the best look.  Get these, trust me you will love them!

Honest Beauty Mascara

Honest Beauty Mascara is the best natural beauty mascara I’ve found- it checks all the boxes!

Honest Beauty Mascara-

I know I talk about this nonstop- but for good reason I haven’t found anything else that works as good!  Plus, this is the cheapest natural beauty mascara- I mean does it get any better? $14.99 on Amazon!

Ok, so I did try this mascara when it first came out over two years ago and I didn’t like it.  It stung my eyes pretty bad and there wasn’t anything amazing about it.  However, they re-did the formula and I have to say it is completely different and I LOVE it!  This is hands down my favorite mascara in green beauty.  I know, that says a lot but it’s true.  The formula checks all the boxes.

It offers thickness, length, separation- it’s just awesome!  The formula isn’t too dry or too wet and I love that I don’t have to apply 5 coats of mascara to see product on my lashes.  In just two coats my lashes are instantly lengthened, thicker and have overall more volume.  I’m sold!  On one end of the mascara wand is a primer and the other the mascara color.  I apply the primer first and then the mascara. Doesn’t smudge or flake on me either!  Get it here already!

That sums up my natural beauty faves for February!  See any products you want to try?  What are some clean beauty products you’re loving?  Leave me a comment!

So excited to finally share my Beautycounter review!  I’ve been wanting to share about the products since I joined but wanted to give it some time so I could really get a feel for them and give you some good feedback.

I wrote a blog post sharing why I decided to join Beautycounter back in December.  It’s a really in depth post, so I encourage you to check it out if you haven’t.  I share what held me back in the past from trying the products, ingredients I wasn’t sure about and about the business side.  Basically if you want to know more about Beautycounter go read it.  Check it out here!

Also, I would be doing you a disservice if I talked all about the products but didn’t tell you a bit about the business side of it.  I’m not afraid to tell you I make money off of the products when you purchase them under my name and I hope it’s something more women will feel comfortable sharing.  That’s one of the reasons why I decided to join Beautycounter because I love that it supports women in business and working it into their lives.  I’ve heard so many stories of women being able to send their kids to a private school they had always wanted too, to pay for ballet lessons, take their family on a vacation- the list is endless!  That is definitely not something I want to be ashamed of.  If anything I want women to feel more empowered to help provide for their family.

Besides women empowerment, I also just love the fact that I’m spreading the message of clean beauty.  That’s why I started my blog in the first place, to spread this message with more people.  Beauty counter’s advocacy work is literally paving the way for natural beauty!  As we join arms, it’s raising a louder voice that we want safer products into the hands of everyone.  That is something to get excited about!

As we join arms, it’s raising a louder voice that we want safer products into the hands of everyone.

How cool is it that a women can become a Beautycounter consultant while still participating in her life?!  They can still make their kid’s soccer games, work another job, and be a stay at home mom- pretty cool.  So if you’re wanting more information on how to get involved in Beautycounter and what that might look like for you, send me an email to [email protected]  Would love to have you share this mission with me, while creating income for you and your family!

Ok, clearly I’m passionate about this company and all that it stands for!  Now on to my review.  I’ll be sharing more products as I test them out but for now I wanted to share some standouts.

MAKEUP

Tint Skin-

I was so jazzed to try this foundation!  There’s always a few products in a makeup line that I get really excited about- foundation is one of them.  This foundation is definitely in my favorite foundations category.  It is hydrating but not so much so that it looks shiny.  It blends so well and looks like your skin.  I love how buildable it is.  If I want a more laid back look I can achieve it with Tint Skin, if I want a more pulled together look I can use a bit more.  If you’ve been looking for a light to medium coverage foundation try Tint Skin!  I wear the color Linen.

Dew Skin-

I tried this first before trying Tint Skin and really liked how easy it was to use.  However, after using Tint Skin I prefer it over Dew Skin.  But that’s just me.  You may want really minimal coverage and more of a tinted moisturizer feel and look, then Dew Skin is for you.  It blends so well into the skin, you would hardly notice you’re wearing much.  It’s super hydrating too! I wear the color No. 2.

Concealer Pen-

I really like the application of this concealer pen.  I especially love it for underneath my eye area.  I don’t like it as much for covering my hyper pigmentation on my cheeks.  I find it doesn’t give the coverage I like. But for under my eyes I really like it for covering dark circles.  If you tend to get creasing I would set it with their mattifying powder here. Just a little sprinkle will help it from settling in fine lines.

Beautycounter review

Beautycounter eyeshadows are the best in green beauty!

Eyeshadow-

Ok, if you’ve been following me then you know I love Beautycounter’s eyeshadow palettes!  They are the BEST in green beauty.  Seriously- I’ve tried them all and nothing compares. I have the Classic Palette, but I want them all!

Lip Sheers-

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I tried these and was pleasantly surprised how much I liked them.  One of Beautycounter’s best sellers for good reason.  It feels like a really hydrating lip balm but not goopy or tacky.  Glides on your lips giving a hint of sheen and some color. The color pigment is more translucent and just a hint.  The perfect everyday lip color to throw on.  I can see myself wearing these a lot especially in the summer.  I have the color Rose, a pretty subtle pink hue.  These would be great for teenagers especially in my opinion.  Not as dramatic as a lipstick.

Color Intense Lipstick-

Another best seller from Beautycounter.  These lipsticks give your lips some serious color pigment.  They’re hydrating but not so much that your lipstick is everywhere.  I love how rich they feel on the lips.  Velvety and smooth.  I have three colors, Girls’ Night, 9 to 5, and Backstage- and I love them all!  9 to 5 is literally just as the name implies- the perfect color to wear from 9-5.  It’s not too bold but gives your face a pulled together look.  Girls’ Night is your quintessential candy apple red.  It can be bold but it also can be paired down too.  If I want a more subtle approach I just apply less and it almost looks like more of a lip stain.  Backstage is the nude everyone needs in their lipstick collection.  It pairs great with smoky, dramatic eyes or for an overall dressed down look.  Can’t go wrong with any of them!

Liquid Liner-

I was super duper excited to try this liner out!  Finding a good liner in green beauty is definitely no small task.  This one did not disappoint!  It is very pigmented which I love and it lasts.  I actually like applying mine with a liner brush instead of the brush that comes with it.  Makes it go on so much smoother and easier.  I’ve had several followers tell me it’s their favorite liquid liner too- can’t argue with that!

Did you know Beautycounter just launched their Men’s line this week: Counterman?!  Check it out here!

Satin Blush-

I was sold after my first swipe of their blushes- literally these are the best powder blushes I’ve used.  I love that they’re pressed and not loose- less mess.  I also love the color pay off. They nailed the color Nectar!  It’s the perfect Nars dupe of Orgasm and basically goes with almost anyone’s skin tone.  It’s SO pretty!  I also have the punchy pink color Guava and can’t get enough of it either. They stay on so well and blend so well into the skin.  They don’t look cakey at all.   I’m telling you, try the blushes already- you’ll thank me!

Bronzer-

This bronzer was another fave.

Cream Blush-

I tried the cream blush later and I have to say it’s another great product.  They really thought the delivery out well with this one.  I love that it comes in a stick form- makes it so easy to apply.  I just apply a few swipes to my cheeks and blend in with my fingers.  Looks soft and dewy. Great for the winter when skin can start looking a little drab.  I also love applying this first and then applying a swipe of the powder satin blush.  Give my cheeks a pop and helps the blush last even longer. I have the color Hibiscus.

Lip Gloss-

I’m not a gloss girl at heart. However, I do love adding a little bit every now and then for a little dewiness to my lips.  I’m picky about my glosses though and was pleasantly surprised when I tried Beautycounter’s and fell hard for it.  They aren’t goopy or gunky.  They glide on so well and offer sheen plus a hint of color.  I love the Bare Shimmer color I have.  I layer it on top of lip liners or lipstick to add a subtle hint of shine.  If you’re a gloss girl you will love these!

Lip Balm-

This is one of my favorite products!  I knew I would like it.  It is a serious hydrating lip balm that doesn’t mess around!  It offers moisture and protection.  I apply this at night and I wake up with silky smooth lips.  It comes in several scents but I’m partial to the peppermint- always got to have my mint!

Beautycounter natural product review

Two of my favorites in Beautycounter, the Cleansing Balm and Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser.

SKINCARE

Resurfacing Peel-

I had to start with the resurfacing peel!

Cleansing Balm-

This is another best seller and one of my favorites. I really can’t get enough of this cleansing balm.  It feels so good on the skin.  I apply a nickel size amount to my hands and rub in circular motions all over my skin to remove makeup.  It gets rid of it all, from eye makeup and foundation.  Then I take a warm washcloth and wipe off the balm.  My skin feels hydrated but clean.  It smells so good too!  It also works as an overnight mask if your skin is really needing a little extra moisture and tlc.

Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser-

This was another product that I can’t stop using.  It really acts like a conventional cleanser minus the toxins.  It gets a little sudsy and clears away all the extra grime.  My skin feels so clean but not stripped.  I love using this after the cleansing balm to get every last drop of makeup, and grime off from the day.  It’s a really reasonable price as well.  It has tiny jojoba beads in it as well that help to slough off skin cells.  Nothing to abrasive at all.  A great pick for teens as well!

Balancing + Charcoal Mask-

At first I wasn’t too sure about this mask.  My skin tends to run on the dry to normal side and I was concerned it would be too drying for me.  I realized I only need to apply it where I want to clean out and detox my pores.  I apply it to my t-zone area and thats it.  It helps to really draw out pores but it’s not drying out the rest of my skin.  A win/win in my book!

Countermarch Eye Rescue Cream-

This eye cream is one of the best eye creams.  I find it hard to find eye creams that aren’t too heavy.  This one is just the right amount of moisture.  It hydrates but quickly soaks right into the eye area.  I love using this at night or in the morning before I apply my makeup.  It’s also not crazy expensive too!

Facial Oils-

Beautycounter has 3 facial oils.  A Brightening Oil, Plumping Oil and a Balancing Oil.  Depending on your skin type and what you’re looking to achieve there is one for most people.  I use the Brightening a lot, it’s for combination skin.  It’s not super heavy but offers enough hydration.  I also have been using the Plumping Oil at night for a little extra since it’s winter.  I’ve noticed my skin tends to need a little more in this season.  The Plumping Oil is great for those with mature skin, dry skin.  The Balancing Oil is perfect for anyone with oily skin or acne skin.  These are best sellers as well!

Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion-

This lotion is great.  It really works so well.  It can be worn underneath makeup easily because it’s not super heavy or can be layered at night over your facial oils for a little more hydration.  This is another best seller that people can’t get enough of.  I love that it doesn’t have a strong scent either.  Just a good all around facial lotion.

Countermatch Recovery Sleeping Cream-

This cream is a heavier than the lotion and is going to give your skin the extra surge of hydration that it needs. I would recommend this to anyone that is needing a little more moisture for their skin.  A lot of people will layer this over oils at night or use by itself.  I found for me I needed an oil before this because it wasn’t hydrating enough on it’s own.  I haven’t tried the Rejuvenating Cream yet but it’s a best seller and people have told me it’s the next step to hydration from this cream.  I’ll share my thoughts when I try it out!

Eye Makeup Remover-

If you’ve been following me on social media you know I can’t get enough of this eye makeup remover!  I used to be obsessed with Mary Kay’s Eye Makeup Remover back in the day…but clearly I gave that up! 😉 When I saw that Beautycounter had one I knew I had to try it.  Well, let’s just say I now have a new fave!  This eye makeup remover performs so well.  It removes my eye makeup effortlessly and my lipstick with no oily residue.  Fan girl for life!

One Step Makeup Remover Wipes-

Say hello to your new favorite wipe…but really!  These are in a league of their own.  I kept hearing people say to try the wipes and so of course I did!  These wipes have the perfect moisture amount.  I had yet to find a green beauty wipe that worked so well.  They were either to dry or not soft enough.  Beautycounter hit all the marks on these wipes.  They are soft, moist and even biodegradable.  If you’re a wipe gal you need these!  Perfect for travel too.  You could even cut them in half to make them last longer.

HAIR/BODY

Daily Shampoo and Conditioner-

I initially liked how my hair felt using the Daily Shampoo and Conditioner but then after using it for a while I ended up not.  My hair is fine and thin and it felt like it didn’t get clean enough with the Daily Shampoo and Conditioner.  My hair felt blah and wasn’t doing what I wanted it to do.  I have friends who have similar hair types to me and they love the volume shampoo and conditioner.  I haven’t tried it, but once I do, I’ll let you know!

Body Lotion-

The body lotion is so decadent and hydrating!  Did I mention the smell?  It is citrus mimosa and smells oh so good.  I love that it comes in a tube for travel.  It hydrates but doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy.  People that love a good lotion always love the Beautycounter lotion- can’t blame them!

Body Cream-

So if the body lotion isn’t hydrating enough, the body cream will be.  It is truly so hydrating and indulgent.  It has the same citrus memos scent that makes you want to lather this everywhere!  I’m more of a body cream gal and I can’t get enough of this.  It keeps my skin moist long after applying and isn’t oily feeling.

Clearly I’ve tried a few of Beautycounter’s products!  I can honestly say I’m so impressed with the quality and performance of the products.  If you want to check out more products that they carry, click here!  Also, don’t forget to check out my first post I did on Beautycounter here. And check out the new men’s line!  What’s your favorite Beautycounter product?
