Does Organic Hair Dye Exist?

Does Organic Hair Dye Exist?

Answering the burning question, does organic hair dye exist?  As a hair stylist hair color was the first thing that changed when I moved towards a greener lifestyle years ago.  Not that organic dyes are perfect(not even close), because they aren’t but a better option, especially if you’re breathing in toxic fumes all day as a stylist.  I actually stopped doing hair for a bit until I found a safer option.  I didn’t want to be around conventional color, and I definitely didn’t want to be exposing others to chemicals.

This is a topic we need to discuss because according to research 66 to 77 percent of women dye their hair(Source here)!  Pretty crazy statistics.  Some women might not know what they’re putting on their heads, either way I hope this helps you make an educated decision when it comes to whether you choose to dye your hair or not.

Did you know they pretty much can put whatever they want in hair dyes… the FDA doesn’t regulate them.  So why are mainstream dyes so horrible?  Let me break it down:

organic hair dye

Does organic hair dye exist?

Arylamines(PPD) One of the most dangerous chemicals found in hair dyes.  This chemical has been know to cause bladder cancer, and to cause cancer in experimental animals.  One of the most common names for it is p-phenylenediamine (PPD).  It is even present in natural hair dyes(although the percentage is a lot lower).  It helps the color to last through shampoos.  It gets even more toxic when paired with hydrogen peroxide.  Hydrogen peroxide is what’s used in formulations with the PPD to get it to activate.  It’s interesting to me that the FDA has not approved for this chemical to be tested on the skin, yet it’s nearly impossible to not get it on your skin if you’re coloring your hair…crazy!  Many stylists can end up with dermatitis because of constant exposure to PPD and those getting their hair dyed report eczema and dermatitis.  Other studies link it as a possible carcinogen.  (Source here).

-Ammonia This is the most popular chemical people tend to hear about when faced with mainstream hair dyes. Ammonia is used in hair color to blast the cuticle and deposit the color.  Besides it being toxic, it’s also really damaging to your hair.  Why do you think stylists are always pushing those conditioners like crazy?!  Ammonia is just bad all around.  It’s horrible for the respiratory system, but it also can get into lymph nodes.  Once on a client’s scalp it seeps into the pores, which is then carried into the bloodstream.  Bottom line-avoid it!

-Toluene-2,5-diamine- These are used in permanent hair dyes.  Besides getting headaches, getting dizzy and having allergic reactions.  It also can be so damaging as to cause birth defects and retardation in unborn babies.  (Source here)

-Parabens, Resorcinol, lead acetate are a few other offenders.

*There’s a slew more chemicals, actually there can be up to over 400 chemicals in hair dyes!

The EWG (Environmental Working Group) found that 69% of hair dyes when tested on their Skin Deep data bases may cause cancer.

Here is a link where you can search for common hair dyes to determine their toxicity based on the Skin Deep Data Base by the EWG.

Getting a balayage or foil is a great way to minimize exposure from hair dye.

Yeah, let’s just all take that in for a moment.  Since the FDA doesn’t regulate hair dye, we must!

I want to share what options you have when coloring your hair.  There are options that are less toxic and options that are more toxic.

Temporary dyes- These only last for a couple washes typically and sit on top of your hair.

Semi-permanent- These are stronger then temporary dyes and are used a lot for toning, especially after getting highlights and refreshing the hair.  They do penetrate the hair shaft but aren’t going to last as long as permanent dye.

Permanent-  This is going to go into the cortex of your hair and change the actual color.  It will cover gray.  This type of color is a lot more toxic because it contains more chemicals.  In a study, it showed that there was a 50% increase risk for developing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma when using permanent dyes and an 80% higher risk of multiple myeloma. (Source here).

Also, the darker the dye the worst the toxic load.  So if you’re consistently getting your hair dyed black, dark brown, the toxic burden is greater.  (Source here)

organic hair dye

Organic Color Systems has a variety of colors to choose from.

Another thing to consider is when you’re applying dye to your scalp.  The scalp is a rich blood supply and carries chemicals to other parts of the body.  So if you’re constantly getting your hair dyed you may be submitting your whole body to toxins. (Source here)

So you might still be asking yourself…”Does Organic Hair Dye Exist?”

Ok, let’s breakdown that question.  There’s no such thing as “organic” hair dye.  It’s a marketing term used to appeal to the consumer.  When I hear people say that they’re color line is safe and organic I just chuckle to myself.  What they really mean is it probably doesn’t contain ammonia, uses less toxic ingredients and a few more plant based ingredients.  That’s it.

When you look up the word organic in the dictionary you get this:

(of food or farming methods) produced or involving production without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial agents.

Have you looked on the back of your “organic” hair color at the ingredients?  Because there’s definitely some serious artificial ingredients going on.  People like to use the words organic but organic doesn’t pertain to everything like it does to food or clothes.

I’m going to give some options below, but I want to be clear that these are in no way completely natural, well except henna and Hairprint.  But even some henna dyes have other toxic ingredients added to them.  It’s always important to read your labels.

Hairprint- This is the only completely safe color line available at the moment.  But I wouldn’t really call it a hair color line.  It’s a boxed dye you can use at home but it doesn’t work like you might think a conventional color would.  It uses 8 food grade ingredients to dye the hair.  I’ve personally used it on my mom’s hair several years ago.  Although it’s completely safe it’s also a lot of work.  It took us about 2 1/2 hours from start to finish.  I fully recommend it if you’re just wanting to cover your roots and you have brown to darker hair naturally, but it doesn’t work well with someone who wants to cover their dark roots and have highlights, which was my mom.  It turns your hair to it’s original color.  So if you’re a natural level 5 brown, that’s what the color will look like when done.  In my experience it was even darker though.  It looks very opaque and not see through.  It faded on my mom but still was too harsh for her.  As you get older the rule of thumb with color is add warmth and go lighter.  Darker can make you look older and the skin more sallow.  Hairprint doesn’t work for blondes, redheads or reddish hair.  You can buy it online here!

Henna- Henna is a plant, completely natural.  There are still henna dyes that contain small amounts of PPD(as I mentioned above), so make sure if you are using henna it’s pure.  Typically henna will reveal a reddish brownish color but some companies have added in other plants with henna now to change the color.

Henna is really hard to work with, if your a stylist and have worked with hair then you know what I mean.  Once you put it on your hair, you really can’t get it out.  It’s permanent.  But a different permanent than conventional permanent dye.  I’ve tried stripping henna out before with bleach and what happens is it turns brassy and red.  The problem is once you put it on, you really can’t do much else with your hair.  Nowadays you can achieve different colors using a variety of henna powders.  Check out Morocco Method for more info.

Organic color systems and O&M are a few of the more natural professional color lines available.

Does Organic Hair Dye Exist?

Let’s finish answering the question, does organic hair dye exist?  If you’re using a permanent dye, it’s going to have chemicals.  Unless, you’re doing straight Hairprint or using Henna and even then be careful of the source.  There have been reports that small amounts of PPD(as I mentioned above) have been found in some henna sources.  Color lines that are ammonia-free use Monoethanolamine, or MEA.  It is in the family of Ethanolamines and is used to change the PH of the hair.  This is essential because in order to change the color of the hair, the PH has to be raised for the color to penetrate the cuticle and get to the cortex.  In several of the color lines I mention below, ethanolamines are present in them, since they are ammonia free.  They use the MEA coupled with oils to get the color in the hair shaft.  I really wouldn’t use ammonia nowadays.  It’s horrible for stylists especially as you’re the one breathing it in everyday.

One last thought before I dive into my recommendations.  If you’re wanting to get your hair colored, but are wanting the least possible contact with your skin, here are a few tips.

  • If you have no grey to cover, have the stylist do a balayage technique or foil. By using foils the product doesn’t touch your scalp, so less exposure overall.
  • Also, always go lighter versus darker since the darker you go the more chemicals you’re exposed too.
  • If you’re wanting highlights, I would ask if the salon has ammonia free lighteners.  Getting highlights is a great option, because you’re not touching the scalp and going lighter has less chemicals than going darker.

As you can see, organic hair dye doesn’t exist in the way you would think.  Are there better options, sure.  But are they perfect?  Not even close.  You’re still going to be exposing yourself to toxins.

Below are options I’ve used or had experience with.  In no way am I saying that these are natural!  They may not have one thing, but then they may have another.  However, when doing hair I did notice severally chemically sensitive people were able to get their hair colored using many of these color lines because they do contain some of the lesser evil toxins.  Most conventional color lines are filled with anything and everything- no joke.  I also noticed in my research that professional color lines that use the term “organic or natural” are better as far as ingredients then boxed “natural” options.  They just may not contain as many toxins, not that they are toxin free.  As always, I recommend your stylist do a patch test to see if you’re allergic to the color line before using.

At the end of the day, we all have to make choices when it comes to what toxins we allow into our bodies and which ones we don’t.  Hair dye may be something you love to do.  This post is meant to arm you with the right information when making the decision to continue dying your hair, not to tell you to stop dying your hair.  Maybe instead of doing it every six weeks you wait 12 weeks.  Or maybe you get your hair foiled instead of an all over color.  There may not be a perfect “organic hair dye” alternative to conventional hair dye but there are better options and tips to help lower your overall exposure.

Does organic hair dye exist?

Organic Color Systems-

This is the professional line I used at my salon.  They are made in the UK, which is great because they have higher standards than the U.S.  When I say professional, I mean it’s only sold to those licensed as a cosmetologist.  It is ammonia and resorcinol free.  This was one of the main reasons I went with the line at the time.  It was back in 2013 and this really was the only option when it came to natural hair dye from what I knew.  It still does have PPD in it but has the lowest amount needed in order for it to still be effective.  Instead of Ammonia in the product they use Ethanolamine and Triethanolamine. Full ingredient list here. They don’t smell as bad but as far as toxicity go, are still up there with ammonia. Not really that much better in my mind.  They use Ethanolamine and Triethanolamine in combination with heat for the color to penetrate the hair shaft.  It covers grey and gives beautiful results.  Your hair feels healthy and shiny.  The fading was no different than mainstream color.  I dare say it was actually better than traditional color.

The smell is more of an earthy smell, nothing unpleasant about it at all.  If you’ve smelled ammonia color then you know what I’m talking about.  They offer 64 colors, that can be made permanent or semi-permanent depending on the developer and they offer two lightening powders.  The lightening powders are ammonia, bleach and dust free.   The line is vegan and some of their products do contain a wheat protein, however they claim that they are gluten free.  I would still ask them if you’re sensitive to gluten in any way before applying this color just to be sure.  Some of their colors, as well as the lightening powders have wheat protein in them.  They have a truly semi-permanent line that’s called No Limits.  These dyes will wash out in 6-12 washes but don’t contain PPD, or PTD and you can do them in the convenience of your home.  They are sold as a retail product from the salon.  As I mentioned above, just because this line is “natural”, and has the word “organic” in it does not mean it doesn’t contain toxins.  When I used it, I still wore gloves.  Although it is better in some ways than standard hair dyes, it still is hair dye at the end of the day.  To find a stylist using OCS, please e-mail them at [email protected]

O&M-

This is another professional line, meaning it’s only sold to professional stylists.  O&M stands for Original Mineral.  I used it and here and there in my salon.  It is newer and made in Australia.  It is also a professional line.  O&M is ammonia, resorcinol and PPD free.  But still contains a host of other toxic chemicals instead of PPD like p-aminophenol, 4-Chlororesorcinol, Toluene-2,5-Diamine Sulfate and 2, 4 Diaminophenoxyethanol hcl. Here is a full ingredient list here.

The smell of O&M is more of cleaning agent smell.  I’m not a fan to be honest.  It’s not overly strong or burning like ammonia at all but it isn’t as pleasant as OCS.  It does not require heat to penetrate the hair shaft like Organic Color Systems does, which I loved.  They also have a very creamy consistency.  The hair felt great after using the product.  They are a lot larger than OCS in terms of colors, they offer 99.  They come in a cream form for permanent and liquid for semi-permanent.  The results I got from using O&M were great.  It covered grey well.  The hair shined and lasted through shampoos also.  If you’re a stylist and you’re wanting to try out O&M, check out the website simplyorganicbeauty.com.  You will have to get accepted as a stylist in order to purchase products.  Also, if you’re not a stylist but want to find a stylist that uses O&M, call their number (888)213-4744 and then push the number 4 to find a salon near you that uses it.  You can also email them here.

Oway-

This is another professional line that only a stylist can carry.  I have to say this line I’ve been the most impressed with.  I’ve only used them a handful of times.  First they’re made in Italy.  At the time when I had my salon it wasn’t available otherwise I would have definitely used it.  They’re ammonia free and offer 89 colors which is a decent selection.  They actually have 6 legit natural ingredients in their hair color, which is rare to find.  They really push the words biodynamic, natural and organic.  Obviously, if you’ve been reading through this post you know that it’s probably a marketing term, which it is.  But I am shocked how they do really have a high standard when it comes to being more eco-friendly all around.  You don’t have to sit under heat to process the color, do a ton of steps to cover grays which is nice too.  Organic Color Systems you always have to use so many steps in order to cover the grays, plus use heat.  If you’re a stylist and reading this definitely use a scale, it’s essential for good results with this color line.  I was impressed with how I didn’t have to pack on the color with this line too.  With Organic Color Systems I always felt like I needed more, especially when covering gray hair. Obviously, it’s still not completely natural but I would say as far as being a stylist and having ease of use, consistent results and doesn’t smell horrible, it’s definitely a better option.

I wanted to also mention how much I loved Oway’s Hbleach lightener!  It’s the best lightener I’ve ever used.  It actually makes the hair feel better after using…I know crazy.  It’s ammonia free and contains lavender essential oil and kukui butter.  It’s so creamy.  If you’re a stylist and you’re wanting to try out Oway, check out the website simplyorganicbeauty.com.  You will have to get accepted as a stylist in order to purchase products.  Also, if you’re not a stylist but want to find a stylist that uses Oway, call their number (888)213-4744 and then push the number 4 to find a salon near you that uses it.  You can also email them here.

Below are a list of ingredients found in “natural” boxed hair dye.  They aren’t pretty.  It would be different using it if it only had a couple toxic ingredients but when the list is this long, it makes you think twice before using it. They may remove some of the heavy offenders when it comes to conventional dye but they are far from safe.  If there is a score next to the ingredient list it’s the score from EWG’s Skin Deep Data Base.

  • PEG’s(polyethylene glycols)- Petroleum based enhancers.  Usually contaminated with, heavy metals, Ethylene oxide(used in World War 1 nerve gas) and 1,4 dioxane-(a carcinogen) and make it easier for ingredients to absorb into your skin/scalp.  Not something you want in your products if there are a list of other toxic ingredients.  The EWG Skin Deep Data Base rates this as a 1 but that’s not accurate.  They aren’t looking at the whole makeup of the ingredient.  Some brands can try and remove these impurities but it would be hard to find that out.
  • Mineral Oil- Made from petroleum. Can be contaminated.  It can even be a possible carcinogen. (Source here)
  • Propylene Glycol- Very similar to (PEG’s- polyethylene glycols), it also makes it easier for ingredients to penetrate the skin and can be a skin irritant.
  • Parfum/Fragrance- Can cause phototoxic reactions and can be photoallergic.  Skin irritant, and has been known as a neuro-toxin, hormone disruptor and an allergen.
  • p-Phenylenediamine- Score of 7- allergies and immunotoxicity as well as cancer.
  • Ethanolamine- Score of 5-6, Allergies and Immunotoxicity
  • 4-Chlororesorcinol- Score of 6- allergies and Immunotoxicity, and cancer.
  • 2-Methylresorcinol- Allergies and immunotoxicity.
  • 2-Amino-4-Hydroxyethylaminoanisole Sulfate- Score of 3 but it did have a reference for cancer.
  • m-Aminophenol- Score of 5, for allergies and immunotoxicity and cancer.
  • N-Phenyl-p-Phenylenediamine Sulfate- Score of 7, allergies and immunotoxicity, cancer.

As you can see, these aren’t ingredients you want going on your head every 6 weeks!  If you want to continue dying your hair, then here are some of the natural boxed hair dye options, however just remember they are not completely natural.  I will say that I was impressed with Madison Reed’s ingredient list.  Still totally not squeaky clean at all, but compared to the other boxed dyes it wasn’t as crazy.  Madison Reed’s are also PPD free, for those that are allergic or sensitive to PPD.  But know that doesn’t mean the ingredient they use instead, para-toulenediamene sulfate isn’t nontoxic.  It has it’s own set of side effects too.

It’s clear that organic hair dye does not exist except in the form of Hairprint that I mentioned earlier, however, Hairprint doesn’t work for everyone and some people just don’t want to spend that much time doing their hair every 6 weeks, or they have red hair, want highlights, etc.

Mineral Fusion’s Grey Root Concealer-

Does organic hair dye exist?  Well, since we know it doesn’t I’ve found the next best thing- a root concealer!  This isn’t actually an all over color for your hair but for just your roots.  You use it when you are trying to hide those grey hairs.  It really does blend well and covers the grey!  It just washes out after shampooing.  You use it like you would mascara.  Now this isn’t by any means completely natural.  It rates a 5 on the Think Dirty app.  However, this is definitely a better alternative to dying hair in my opinion.  You are giving yourself a lot less of a toxic load.  It is a lot better than mainstream root concealers too.  Plus, if it can help you stretch getting your hair dyed then it’s worth it.

GrayRootConcealer_DrkBrn_1200x1200_grande

I’m still waiting for the day when organic hair dye does exist but until then, I’ve rounded out some of my top tips and what I do when getting my hair dyed in my free download.

This will outline:

  • Where to find a natural stylist/salon
  • What to ask a salon to see if they are really who they say they are
  • What to tell your stylists for least exposure
  • What I do when visiting the salon.
  • I even walk you through what to do when you don’t have access to an organic salon.

Ok, that’s my huge spill on does organic hair dye exist!  If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment, or e-mail me.  Also, if you’ve come across other brands that you like please let me know.  I’m always trying out new ones and will be updating this periodically as I do.

Best Antiaging Cream For Natural Skincare

Best Antiaging Cream For Natural Skincare

I’m sharing my thoughts on the Best Antiaging Cream For Natural Skincare.  Beautycounter’s Countertime natural antiaging line is finally here and their antiaging Supreme Cream is nothing short of amazing.  I have been on the edge of my seat to share this line with you.  As a Beautycounter consultant I had the pleasure of being able to give the line a test run before it becomes available to the public.

I’ve been a consultant for a little over 6 months and I’ve tried almost every product.  I know crazy but I’ve been able to dabble in pretty much everything.  I hadn’t found any of their skincare lines to really WOW me.  Being a natural beauty blogger I definitely have tried my fair share of products and I can spot something special the minute I use it now.

The Ultra Renewal Eye Cream and Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence are really changing the game when it comes to natural skincare.

Well, special is exactly how I would describe the new Countertime line.  It hits all the marks and some.  I’m not saying this because I’m a consultant, or connected with Beautycounter, although why not promote something I’m associated with but I’m sharing this line with you because I truly think it’s different.

If I was given this skincare line and it wasn’t Beautycounter I would still be wanting to share about it, when you find good skincare products, that not only work but also are natural you want to shout it from the rooftops- or at least that’s how I feel as a natural beauty blogger!

I’m going to break down the line by first the whole premise of the line- what makes it different, as well as by each individual product.  I really want you to be able to get a first hand glimpse into what makes Countertime unique and special.  If you’re really wanting to get to my review on the best antiaging cream in natural skincare- you can skip ahead towards the end but I encourage you to learn what makes it different first.

Glass bottles, that are recyclable- Beautycounter’s Countertime line is next level!

What Makes Countertime Different?

Ok, This is Beautycounter’s first true antiaging skincare line.  By using a blend of plant-derived Retinatural Complex of Bakuchiol and alpine rose that support skin regaining youthfulness.  Top performing conventional skincare brands you will find use retinol in their formulations.  However, much research has shown that retinol is not only phototoxic, discoloration, can cause skin irritation, thin the skin, and even in some studies be carcinogenic.  I mean I’m all for keeping my skin looking good but at the risk of my health- I don’t think so!  You may have heard of tretinoin(I can just hear my dermatologist suggest this to me), which is toxic.  Tretinoin is a form of retinol.  Another form often used by many is retinyl palmitate, however, this can become toxic when exposed to sunlight.

If you’ve used retinol then you know how thin and irritated your skin can become.  What happens to the skin when retinol is used over and over is it is constantly producing new cells.  Which gives your skin that smooth appearance.  The problem with the rapid cell renewal is it doesn’t give the new cells time to create the correct barrier function because they lack the lipid and adhesion from normal cell production.  Therefore your skin becomes highly sensitive.  Wearing sunscreen and protecting your skin from the sun is parmount when using retinols.

As you can see there is a reason why Beautycounter has retinol on their Never List of Ingredients.  It’s not something you want to be applying to your skin and absorbing into your body.  Check out the full Never List of Ingredients here.

The Tetrapeptide Surpeme Cream from Beautycounter’s new Countertime line is changing the game when it comes to antiaging creams!

Beautycounter wanted to create something that not only proved to be effective but safe.  This is where they created a plant-derived Retinatural Complex of Bakuchiol and alpine rose.  There’s been a lot of buzz lately about plant-derived retinols.  What are they and are they safe?  Let’s dive in.

Bakuchiol is derived from the seeds and plants of the babchi plant.  This plant has been used in Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic for diseases.  Bakuchiol is one of the very few plants shown to actually work(scientifically proven) in the same way as retinol but without the side effects.  (Source here) It helps to add firmness to the skin, fade pigmentation, improve skin elasticity, and improve fine lines and wrinkles.  Plus, it helps to stimulate collagen production.  Did you know your face from your mid 20s and on loses between 1-1.7% of collagen a year?  You could say I’m all about upping my collagen production with a little Bakuchiol!  Bakuchiol helps to repair the skin.

The other all star plant-derived retinol is alpine rose.  Alpine rose helps to protect the skin.  It is grown in the Swiss Alps, where it has to protect itself from harsh climates.  When scientists saw how well the plant protected itself from the environment they wondered if it could do the same thing for human skin cells.  If you think about the human skin it’s much the same way.  When we are able to fight against environmental stressors and protect the skin while at the same time keeping barrier function intact and fluids in the skin is less likely to age.  The whole process protects the skin from fine lines and wrinkles- yes you can read that again!  Aren’t plants SO cool?!  Read about alpine rose here.

Say hello to your new favorite cleanser- Countertime Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil is changing the natural cleansing game.

As you can see Bakuchiol and alpine rose are a match made in skincare heaven.  Not only repairing what’s been lost but protecting skin from future damage. What’s even better is you can find this Retinatural Complex of bakuchiol and alpine rose  in the new Countertime line of Beautycounter products!

It’s obvious this isn’t a line that was casually made but intentionally and thoughtfully created.  I love how every detail didn’t go unnoticed.  Even the glass jars are sourced from North America, eliminating the 5,000 mile travel from China where most beauty containers are made.  The jars are also recyclable too.  Overall less impact but greater performance!

The line was formed in a new lab with over 100 trials performed to test for contamination as well.  Beautycounter didn’t want to win some awards for best in natural beauty but they wanted to be the BEST in beauty.

Countertime has been in the works for 3 years- not an after thought.  Beautycounter brought research and development in house, along with 5 chemists.  The goal is to create natural products but in the end people want products that are going to be effective.  Countertime definitely delivers on this front.  This quote from the founder, Greg Renfrew really sums it up.

The company was founded on me wanting to get safer products into people’s hands… But at the end of the day a woman is going to pull out her credit card because of performance. -Founder of Beautycounter Greg Refrew

Clearly this line is going to create waves and a new generation of natural skincare products that lead with performance!

Of course I couldn’t leave you without sharing all my thoughts on the new skincare line. I mean what kind of natural beauty blogger would I be?!

Countertime Review + Best Antiaging Cream In Natural Skincare

First the full Countertime line consists of 6 products.  Spoiler alert: the Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream is the best antiaging cream I’ve found in natural skincare.  It’s that good!

  • Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil
  • Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence
  • Tripeptide Radiance Serum
  • Antioxidant Soft Cream
  • Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream- (Best antiaging cream in natural skincare)  🙂
  • Ultra Renewal Eye Cream

Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil-  This cleanser is unique and so good.  The cleanser is a spin off of Asian skincare.  You apply it to dry skin as an oil but as you add water it emulsifies into a milky consistency.  It removes all my makeup effortlessly, no stinging and my skin doesn’t feel stripped after using.  I’m hooked!  I literally want to use this every night- it’s that good.  Trust me I have a variety of other products I could use but I keep reaching for this one over and over.  Did I mention the smell?  AH-MAZING!  Get it here.

Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence- This is similar to a toner/hydrosol.  Instead of spritzing it on your skin you shake some into your hands and press it on your face.  I apply this right after cleansing before I use serums, oils, moisturizers. It has a milky consistency compared to other toners I’ve used.  This has of course the plant-derived retinols bakuchiol and alpine rose but also mineral-rich sea water, and a fermented blend of sugars.  It gives your skin hydration but also an overall glow- you’ll love it.  It’s so refreshing especially in the morning- wakes up my skin .  Get it here.

Tripeptide Radiance Serum- This serum is jam packed with active ingredients from the plant-derived retinol to tetrapeptide.  Tripeptide is a peptide with three amino acids.  Amino acids are the building blocks of protein.  Our skin loses collagen every year as I mentioned earlier.  By adding peptides to your skin you are tricking it into thinking it’s lost collagen recently and it signals your cells to make more.  When collagen production happens, then you notice your skin feeling plumper, and repaired, making your skin look overall more youthful.

Basically amazing when it comes to creating effective skincare for aging skin.  The Tripeptide Radiance Serum comes in a pump bottle, which I love. The formula is milky and sinks right into the skin.  I apply this after the Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence.  This serum is doing the heavy lifting when it comes to creating natural skincare that performs.  Get it here!

Antioxidant Soft Cream-  Say hello to your new favorite day cream.  This cream is hydrating enough to give your skin lasting moisture.  But light enough to wear during the day time.  I also love how it’s in a pump form.  It also contains the plant-derived retinol combination of bakuchiol and alpine rose.  Plus, antioxidant Nasturtium Flower extract known for it’s ability to help guard skin from environmental stressors and keep the skin hydrated.  My skin feels so moist and supple after using.  Great under makeup too!  Get it here.

Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream- This cream is what skincare dreams are made of- no joke!  Yes, it is the best antiaging cream I’ve found in natural skincare.  Move over LaMer.  There’s a new skin cream in town and it doesn’t contain the toxic ingredients!  I have tried hundreds of natural skin creams in my day, yes as a clean beauty blogger my shelves are filled with product, after product.  This one is in a league of it’s own.  I just dare you to try it and tell me otherwise.  The consistency is like softest most decadent cream.  It literally melts into the skin and creates skin that feels so completely perfect from hydration to overall smoothness and radiance.  My skin LOVES it.

Not only does it contain the plant-derived retinol bakuchiol and alpine rose but also a tetrapeptide.  Meaning it has four amino acids.  Your skin will be repaired, protected and stimulated with increased collagen, all while being completely hydrated.  Sound like something amazing?  It’s because it is.  Since being pregnant my skin had been extra dry.  I normally have dry to combination skin more in the summer has it gets more humid but since being pregnant my skin has just been so dry.  There was nothing that would truly hydrate it…until the Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream.  My skin has not felt better!  I finally feel like my skin is back to where it feels normal.  Get it here!

Ultra Renewal Eye Cream- An eye cream that really performs.  Anyone else feel like it’s hard to find a natural eye cream in clean beauty?  Yeah, I’m right there with you.  This eye cream isn’t your average eye cream.  With the powerful plant-derived bakuchiol and alpine rose giving any other eye cream a run for it’s money!  I use this am and pm and gently tap the product into the undereye area using my ring finger(the ring finger has the least amount of muscles so less pulling).  Say goodbye to crow’s feet, undereye shadows and hello to brighter eyes.  Get it here.

As you can see this whole line has definitely won me over!   If you can only try one product definitely try the Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream- best antiaging cream in natural skincare. Beautycounter has really done so well at creating an effective line that doesn’t compromise natural beauty standards. Get it here!

Beauty Heroes: July Discovery Graydon

beauty Heroes review

Sharing all the details on Beauty Heroes July Discovery with Graydon.

I was so excited to try this brand out.  I had only tried one product in the past from Graydon.  I loved learning the story of how Graydon came to be.  She actually was in culinary school when she fell in love with superfoods.  She was also a yoga teacher.  She combined her love for real food, yoga, and beauty and started to create skincare formulas. Her superfood line of products grew beyond just her friends and family into a full fledged skincare brand.

Fullmoon Serum- The heroic product is just that, heroic.  This serum really does it all.  From helping to protect the skin as well as treat it.  Malachite and blue tansy help to guard against the environment, while vitamin C, plant collagen, and oligopeptides create a glowing, more firm and overall smooth skin.  I was impressed with it’s plumping qualities too.  It helps to give skin a supple lift in my opinion with hyaluronic acid, plus phyto-retinol that’s extracted from moth bean extract.  I was so excited to see the moth bean extract in the formula!  Research has shown that moth bean can help to restore collagen production- sign me up for that!

I really can’t recommend this serum enough.  I feel like the results from using it are pretty quick.  Many times you’ll hear of a serum being great but not seeing results for a while.  Not with this one!  I noticed my skin looking brighter and more even within 5 days.  Truly a heroic product that does what it says it will do!

Green Cream- This cream is no sidekick in my opinion. It really stands on it’s own so well. This isn’t your average moisturizer.  The ingredients include squalene, moth bean again, chlorella and bakuchiol- just to name a few.  This is also an anti-aging powerhouse with not one but two phyto-retinols, moth bean extract and bakuchiol.  It’s not an overly heavy cream at all- great for summer months when you still want to feel hydrated but not drenched in moisture.  I also love how it feels slightly cooling on the skin.  I would cleanse my skin, apply a hydrosol, then apply the Fullmoon Serum and follow with the Green Cream.  My skin loves it!  This is a powerhouse for combating aging skin.

Guess What?!  Beauty Heroes is now offering a month membership!  In the past you had to sign up for 3 months in order to get the box.  But now you’re able to just buy the current month’s box.  It is a little higher of a price at $58.95 but also without the commitment.  I am excited about this new change as I know a lot of people wanted to just get certain boxes in the past.

This box this month is a no brainer!  This box is valued at $130 but you can snag it for $58.95.  The savings is insane and the products speak for themselves.  As I like to say the proof is in the pudding!  This really is such stellar box- I wouldn’t be surprised if they sell out!  Hop on it now if you’re thinking of getting it. Get Beauty Heroes January Discovery here!

The Detox Box: Herbivore Botanicals

July Detox Box

This Box is one for the books when it comes to natural skincare!

This month The Detox Box really hit it out of the park!  I have only tried a handful of products from Herbivore Botanicals and I must say all the one’s I’ve tried I’ve been super impressed with.  When I saw that the box contained a sampling of their natural skincare staples I was elated!  I’ve been wanting to try several of the products in the box for quite some time. Included in this box was an array of facial oils and an exfoliating serum.

Prism- This is a fruit acid exfoliating serum.  It gently exfoliates the skin using vitamin C-rich kakadu plum and hydrating botanical waters of aloe and rose.  It’s such a unique product! The combination helps to resurface the skin and bring an overall even skin tone.  You don’t rinse it off after applying.  You apply it and then let it absorb into the skin.  Great for sensitive skin and those who prefer a mild exfoliation.  I noticed a subtle glow to my skin after using it.

Phoenix- This oil is their regenerating oil.  Great for dry and sensitive skin types.  It’s a heavier oil, but my skin has been needing some extra hydration so I love it.  It doesn’t have a long ingredient list but the ingredients listed are robust.  From rosehip seed oil, meadow foam seed oil, chia seed oil, and CoQ10 just to name a few.  It feels rich and luxurious on the skin.  I applied it morning and night.

Orchid- This facial oil is great for all skin types.  Although I wouldn’t recommend it for oilier types as it does have coconut oil.  Coconut oil is high comedogenic and can trigger acne for those who are sensitive to it.  It has a flowery scent.  It isn’t overpowering.  It really gives skin an all over glow instantly.  I loved seeing orchid extract in the ingredient list, a natural humectant that draws moisture to the skin.  Camellia seed oil also is a great oil for skin, quickly absorbing and giving skin a luminous glow.

Lapis-  I saved Lapis for last because I loved it!  If you’ve followed me for a while then you know I love blue tansy.  This oil contains blue tansy and really is an all around all star when it comes to soothing and hydrating the skin.  I’ve always been drawn to blue tansy because of it’s soothing and calming properties.  Especially when it comes to redness.  Something I’ve struggled with for a while.  This is a great oil if your skin is angry or red and irritated.  Not only will the blue tansy help to calm and soothe it but also the kukui nut oil and squalene.  Great for oily skin types as well.  My skin drank this oil up!

I would snag this box up quick!  Such a great variety box that allows you to discover many different products from one line without the high price tag.  The box is valued at $134 but you can get it for $55!  A huge savings.  Snag The Detox Box here!

Clove And Hallow’s Skin Tint Foundation Review

Clove And Hallow’s Skin Tint Foundation Review

I’m so excited to share with you Clove and Hallow’s Skin Tint Foundation Review.  This is their most requested product!  Not surprised.  Foundation can be hard to find in general.  There are so many factors to consider.  I’ve tried a handful of Clove and Hallow Products and I’m always impressed!

Not only are their products affordable but also cruelty free, and vegan.  All the products are made in the USA and follow the EU’s stringent standards.  They have a Clean Fifteen guarantee:

“No cheap fillers or unnecessary fluff. Just the good stuff, delivered in 15 or fewer ingredients per base formula.”

The founder of Clove and Hallow Sarah Biggers went through her own personal health journey that led her to creating Clove and Hallow.  She went through depression, and panic attacks so severe she was bedridden.  She quickly realized after consulting with a naturopath the importance of what we put in our bodies.  Once she went down that road she then wondered what was also in the products she was recommending to clients, friends and family members as a makeup artist.

Clove and Hallow Review

Meet Clove and Hallow’s newest addition: Liquid Skin Tint!

After looking into many natural beauty brands she quickly realized she couldn’t find the products she was looking for.  She wanted performance but also a product that was affordable.  Soon she realized she needed to create this line she dreamt up and Clove and Hallow was born.

I love that each Clove and Hallow product serves a purpose.  There aren’t a ton of filler products in their line.

One of the products that Clove and Hallow continually was asked about was a foundation.  Something that would hit all the marks.  From texture, to shades and performance.  That’s when Clove and Hallow’s Liquid Skin Tint was born!

This foundation is unlike any other I’ve tried.

Clove and Hallow review

Left side of photo I’m wearing Clove and Hallow Liquid Skin Tint in 04, the right side I’m wearing nothing.

Here are some unique characteristics of the formula:

  • It’s lightweight
  • Comes in 12 shades(they even did a focus group with 20 women and all were able to find a shade for their skin type)
  • Provides a demi-matte finish
  • Price Point is really affordable at $26
  • Feels creamy to the touch but dries matte

A lot of clean beauty foundations are known for their dewiness.  They add oils to foundations to really give that dewy skin look.  However, it’s hard to get rid of that dewiness once you have it on your skin.

With Clove and Hallow’s Liquid Skin Tint you’re able to add oils of your choice, or a liquid highlighter to bring out the luminosity if you like.  Really making it a truly versatile product all around.

Clove and Hallow Liquid Skin Tint

These are some of the color swatches they offer of the Clove and Hallow Liquid Skin Tint.

I especially love the Liquid Skin Tint for the summer months when humidity is on the rise and often you want to eliminate any shine from the skin.  This makes it so easy to create that matte effect on the skin without adding more shine to the skin.

I tried several shades: 03, 04, and 05.  04 was a perfect match for my skin!

This is how I’ve been wearing it.  I apply a facial moisturizer first, then wait a minute or two and then apply the foundation with my fingertips.  I’ve tried using a kabuki brush and my fingers to blend the formula and I prefer my fingers.  It helps to warm up the product slightly I’ve noticed.

Clove and Hallow's Liquid Skin Tint Review

Wearing a full face of Clove and Hallow’s Liquid Skin Tint in 04.

This would be ideal as I mentioned for use in the summer but also for those with oily skin types that want to cut down on shine in general.  It provides a medium coverage overall.  Nothing too heavy, still feels lightweight on the skin.

I’ve even mixed the Liquid Skin Tint with Clove and Hallow’s Hydraglow and love the result!  It gives some great dewiness and glow to the skin.  Especially great if you are a little older and want more dewiness in the skin or your skin tends to be on the dry side.

Clean Beauty Faves For June

Clean Beauty Faves For June

Sharing my clean beauty faves for June on the blog!  I’ve got some new skincare faves that are safe for pregnancy, a new natural shampoo I can’t stop using, a staple deodorant that is keeping me smelling fresh and so much more.  Keep reading to check out all the goodness!

Odacite’s new Blue Aura Cleansing Water is so good!

Odacite Blue Aura Cleansing Water-

This is Odacite’s newest product and I was so jazzed to try it!  It’s like a micellar water but even more effective.  It was created to make cleansing super easy and effective.  It’s a no rinse cleanser.  So you apply some on a cotton round, wipe all over face to clean and that’s it.  For me personally I like to use it as a second cleanse and tone.  So essentially after I cleanse my skin I love wiping my skin with this cleansing water.  It acts not only as a second cleanse but also my toner and mist.

It really makes my skin feel extra clean especially with the extra heat as the summer months come.  It is filled with Ayurvedic herbs like Holy Basil, Neem, and  Tumeric.  I LOVE it particularly in the mornings.  I don’t wash my face with a heavy duty cleanser in the mornings but I love to get the night grime off and wake it up with a toner.  This is perfect!  It wakes my skin up but also makes it feel clean and ready for the day.  Definitely a unique product for clean beauty!  Get it here!

Primally Pure’s Baby Oil-

I know it might seem weird to put a baby oil in here but I couldn’t not!  It’s been hard to find a clean baby oil that would be safe for my whole body and growing belly as I’m pregnant but I found one.  Primally Pure’s Baby Oil is not only safe for moms to be but also for baby!  I rub this all over my body after showering and my belly too.  I love knowing what I’m putting on my body is safe and that I’m helping prevent the beloved stretch marks from forming.

Plus, it’s in glass which I love!  I always get weirded out when oils are in plastic containers.  It makes me think they’re soaking up all the plastics!  They also have a baby balm too that I rub on my belly as well.  Check out the baby oil here!

This Countersun Tinted Mineral Sunscreen from Beautycounter is one of my fave products for summer!

Beautycounter Countersun Tinted Mineral Sunscreen-

This has changed my life- no joke.  I did a whole IGTV video all about it here.  You know how self tanners take a good 4-6 hours to process?  I mean who has time for that right?!  With this new tinted mineral sunscreen it literally acts like a self tanner and sunscreen in one.  You apply it to your skin just like you would sunscreen.  But get this…it’s tinted so you not only see exactly where you are applying it but also get a tan in seconds.  Plus, it gives you sun protection of SPF 30.  Best of the both worlds!

I’ve been applying this to my face as foundation and can’t get enough.  I look like I have a nice glow and I’ve got my face protected from the sun.  I’m addicted!  If you haven’t snagged a bottle- do it here!

This shampoo is so unique but has stolen my heart!

GOOP Himalayan Salt Scalp Scrub Shampoo-

Whoah…this shampoo is unlike anything I’ve used.  First it comes in a round jar- not a bottle.  I didn’t even realize it was shampoo at first but then I read the label and was very intrigued.  Of course I had to get it!  It’s not even a liquid in texture but feels more like a facial exfoliant in texture.  It has tiny pink Himalayan salt crystals in it too. Plus, it has cold-pressed moringa oil, and rose hip oil.  I literally just thought how it this going to clean my hair?

But it did!  And so well.  You want to make sure your hair is completely damp and then apply some of the product onto hair and massage in.  It forms a great lather.  Your hair and scalp feels squeaky clean afterwards.  It smells minty fresh with peppermint, orange and geranium.  I love it!  It really is such a revolutionary product.  Plus, how awesome for travel?!  You wouldn’t even have to put it in your checked bag.  Just throw it in your carryon.  Get it here!

Natural Deodorant-

So the sun is out, which also means the sweat comes!  Warm sunny days are awesome but smelling is not.  I finally found a deodorant that I absolutely am crazy about, and guess what?!  So is my hubs!

Primally Pure Deodorants take the cake when it comes to formula and effectiveness.  They go on so smooth, keep me fresh all day long and give me no irritation.  My hubs loves the Charcoal Deodorant and I love the Blue Tansy.  Stop smelling and get them already!

So glad I can have clean skincare but also effective skincare when I’m pregnant.

True Botanical’s Calm Oil Pure Radiance Oil, Vitamin C Booster and Nutrient Mist-

Once I found out I was pregnant I was on a hunt for the best natural skincare that not only was safe but also effective.  I didn’t want to just start slathering coconut oil on my face since I was expecting- and all the mamas to be said amen!  I wanted my products to still be working and giving me the antioxidants my skin needs.  In comes True Botanical’s!

I love that they have a pregnancy safe line that they have vetted for safety but also effectiveness.  I use their Calm Pure Radiance Oil as not only a moisturizer but also to help smooth fine lines and combat redness.  I tend to get even more redness when I’m pregnant. I also love their Nutrient Mist.  It smells so good, but not overly potent. I find I’m sensitive to scents when pregnant and this is the perfect subtle scent.  I spray this on my skin after cleansing before oils.  I also use their Vitamin C Booster.  A powerful combination of Vitamin C powder that isn’t activated until you add water.  I mix it with my Nutrient Mist and then apply to my skin.  I follow with Calm Pure Radiance Oil.  I love knowing my skin is getting active antioxidants even when I’m pregnant.

If you’ve been looking for safe skincare that still packs a punch when pregnant then I would recommend True Botanical’s!  I love them even when I’m not pregnant but so great knowing I can still use them when I am.  Get their products here!  Also, check out my full True Botanical’s review here.

Dry Brushing-

I’ve dry brushed for years but I’ve really gotten more into it since being pregnant.  It can help increase blood flow and be great if you tend to swell.  Some even say it can help prevent stretch marks.  I dry brush before I shower.  I also love it for the added exfoliation.  It really gets my skin glowing more than anything!  I tend to swell in my pregnancies and didn’t dry brush with my last two and so this has been a game changer.  It also just wakes up my whole body too in the mornings.  Really getting my system moving.  If you haven’t tried it yet, do it!  Such a good way to detox your body.

I have two different dry brushes.  This one and this onethis one does shed from time to time.  I like them both.  The longer handle is nice for reaching my back.  This is also a great video of dry brushing if you’ve never done it before!

See anything you’ve been eyeing?  What are you loving right now in clean beauty?

How To Save Money On Clean Beauty

How To Save Money On Clean Beauty

Today on the blog I’m showing you how to save money on clean beauty. I hear the phrase a lot, I can’t afford to swap my beauty products out.  Or switching over is so expensive.  I hear you and I totally get it.  It’s not easy to just drop a couple hundred on some new clean beauty products.  That’s why I want to introduce you to my secret weapon when it comes to saving money when buying natural beauty products.

Have you heard of Pharmaca?  Well, if you haven’t let me introduce you!  They’re an online natural wellness retailer that carries everything from clean beauty products, to natural supplements, kid’s products and more.

I love finding a one stop shop where I can literally buy my toothpaste, get my favorite lipstick, and grab some clean shampoo.  Instead of shopping at 3 different stores online.

I wanted to share why Pharmaca is my go too when getting clean products for a good price.  Keep reading to find out why this retailer takes the cake!

*This post does contain affiliate links.  If you do purchase something from one of them I will receive a small commission.

Pharmaca Clean beauty

These are some of my favorite clean beauty products from Pharmaca!

1st- Pharmaca carries QUALITY products.

Yes, you read that right.  It’s not some retailer selling random things.  They carry all the big name green beauty brands, natural living brands and supplement brands.  Plus, their selection is amazing!

2nd- It’s all in ONE place.

No more going back and forth between five websites trying to get green beauty brands in one place and supplements in another.  Now, you can just do it all at once and save yourself some precious time.

3rd- Shopping at Pharmaca SAVES you money.

Yes, you heard me right!  They are always having a great sale or gift with purchase.  Plus, you get free shipping after $35- hello.  Most retailers are $50 and higher.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to their website to purchase something and was amazed to find they also carried another one of my products too.  Pharmaca has made my life more streamlined and easier as a mom and fellow natural living enthusiast.

Here are some products you can find at Pharmaca:

Some green beauty brands I love that they carry are:

Pharmaca clean beauty

So many great products at Pharmaca!

Isn’t it amazing?!  Huge savings plus quality products.  I wanted to share some of my very favorite brands and products that you can find at Pharmaca below.

  • 100% Pure Caffeine Eye Cream  This eye cream wakes up my tired mama eyes and helps minimize the puffiness.  I’m so impressed with the price and the quality of the product!  I even put mine in the fridge to help de-puff even more.
  • Radius Floss This floss is always the best deal on Pharmaca.  I love knowing that it’s free from teflon and other chemicals they put on conventional floss.
  • Himalaya Toothpaste I was excited to try this toothpaste for the first time.  I had read rave reviews about it.  I really like the formula.  It isn’t overly foaming and my teeth feel clean and polished after using.  I’ll have to wait and see how much it whitens but so far I’m impressed!
  • Dr. Bronner’s Soaps Love these soaps in general, but love this convenient travel size for all my trips!  You can use it to wash your hands, your body, even get a stain out of a shirt. I love the hemp scented one.
  • Max Green Alchemy Hair Paste- I’ve been on the hunt for a texture paste that works and isn’t going to blow the budget.  Well, I finally found one!  I had heard good things about Max Green Alchemy Scalp Rescue Texture Paste and was excited it lived up to the hype.  It comes in tube form and retails for $14.99, but at Pharmaca they are always having discounts so you can usually get it for 20% off!  This works on my husband’s hair to give him a nice textured look and some decent hold without it looking wet or crispy.  It also works on my hair too.  I take a small dime size amount and rub through my hands.  After, curling I take my hands and work it through to piece out the curls and add some texture and hold.  A great product all around and at a great price!
  • Evan Healy Sweet Blossom Hydrating Oil-  This body oil has been in my beauty arsenal for 5 years- it’s so good!  I love the smell.  It has notes of frankincense, neroli, and ylang ylang in it.  When you apply it to your skin it soaks right up.  But leaves behind a silly smooth feeling.  Made with a combination of jojoba, sunflower, sesame and apricot kernel oil.  It envelops your skin and leaves lasting moisture.
  • Preserve Razor Tripe Blade- These razors are made from recycled materials, some of the recycled products are yogurt cups.  Pretty cool!  Also, the whole razor is recyclable itself. They give my skin a smooth feeling but I don’t feel like they’re so sharp that they are going to nick me easily.  I love that they’re easy to travel with too and budget friendly.  A great pick instead of getting a plastic one you can’t recycle.
  • Acure Captivating Light Body Oil- This body oil is great for travel!  I love having it on hand for trips.  It doesn’t come in glass like the Evan Healy one, which makes it perfect for a trip.  You can easily toss it in your bag and not worry about it breaking.  Plus, it smells so good and sprays too- pretty cool.  If coconut isn’t your fave, they also have other scents too.
  • ZuZu Lipsticks- These lipsticks are another great value for a green beauty lipstick.  It goes on so smooth and doesn’t bleed.  I love the color Starlet!  A cool candy apple red.  The perfect statement lip for those days when you want to look pulled together but don’t want to do a full face of makeup.
  • 100% Pure Eye Mask-I love these masks! They can wake up any tired eyes.  Plus, they are great at de-puffing and minimizing dark circles.  You apply them underneath your eyes and it instantly feels cooling and refreshing.  The eye gels are made from a combination of aloe vera gel and plant cellulose.  I love bringing these with me on trips, and also for early mornings when my eyes need a little bit of help.  Trust me- you’ll be hooked!
  • Juice Beauty Sport Moisturizer Sunscreen SPF 30- I love a good mineral based sunscreen and this one by Juice Beauty did not disappoint!  It is packed full the natural mineral zinc oxide which helps block the sun without the harmful chemicals.  It does go on a bit whiter, which is typical of mineral based sunscreens. But sometimes I prefer that when applying to my kiddos.  It helps me to see where I’ve applied it and I find they don’t burn as easily.  This sunscreen stood the test of pool days quite well!
  • Inika Organic Liquid Foundation- This foundation had me at first swipe!  I really can’t get over it.  It goes on so smooth, doesn’t look cakey and lasts the whole day.  I tried their bb cream but I prefer their liquid foundation over it.  It makes your skin look so dewy and lit from within.  I would apply it with my fingers or a foundation brush.  It blends so easily into the skin.  A great foundation for those with dry to normal skin types.
  • Inika Organic Mineral Blush Duo- I’ve quickly fallen for anything and everything Inika Organic!  Their products speak for themselves.  This is the first time I’ve tried one of their baked Mineral Blushes.  This blush is so pretty.  It has a mix of blush rose pink and a soft peach hue.  A great mix!  I love that it’s a pressed blush.  Makes it so easy to use and less messy.  The blush color is very light and subdued.  It really gives an overall natural look.  I like layering this blush on top of a cream blush.  This helps the blush last longer and gives it a little glow too!  A great blush for anyone who likes an overall soft, understated look.
  • All Good Body Lotion- This is a great budget friendly body lotion.  It really performs so well one comes in a tube which makes it so easy to travel with.
  • Vapour Organic Beauty AER Next Level Deodorant This is such a great deodorant and one of the few places you can find it for a discount online.
