Ilia Fullest Volumizing Mascara
Ilia’s fullest volumizing mascara “wraps each lash in weightless, buildable volume without flaking” according to the product description.
The mascara is formulated to be safe for sensitive eyes including contact lens wearers. It can also be removed with your nightly cleanser, no heavy duty makeup remover required.

Application
The violin-shaped brush with nylon micro-bristles ensures that no lash gets left behind. In an independent study of 32 women, 94% said the mascara didn’t clump when applied.
It is recommended to build volume by waiting 30 seconds between each coat. The brush is quite large, so application can be a bit tricky to maneuver. I found the more I used it, the easier it got. I could see if you had smaller eyes or eyelashes it might feel overpowering.
Does It Improve Volume?
Yes, it does! My lashes felt fluffier and larger overall after using.
Does It Improve Length?
Although the volumizing mascara will provide some length, for truly long, fanned out lashes, you’ll want to try Ilia’s Limitless Lash mascara. My lashes could get some length with the Volumizing Mascara, I just had to add more product to the end to really beef them up.
Does It Improve Curl?
While the mascara can contribute to that perfect curl, it is best to use an eyelash curler before applying mascara for a defined curl. I didn’t notice a huge difference with curl with the mascara itself.
How Does It Wear Throughout The Day?
It does great throughout the day. I didn’t have any flaking or smudging, even though it is a highly pigmented mascara.

Application
The Limitless Lash mascara has a patented dual-sided brush for a buildable, natural application. The formula is on the wet side but it doesn’t cause smudging. I love that one side is meant for volume and the other side for length. I use the volume size to achieve fluffy lashes and the length side to give some length.
Does It Improve Lash Volume?
Use the shorter side of the mascara wand to curl and create volume. You aren’t going to get as much volume from the Limitless Lash Mascara as you would from The Fullest Volumizing Mascara- but you can achieve some.
Does It Improve Length?
Yes, use the longer end of the wand to lift, lengthen and separate. The lengthening side of the brush really helps to elongate the lashes overall.
Does It Improve Curl?
While the patented wand does a pretty good job at giving lashes a bit of a curl, using an eyelash curler before applying mascara will give lashes that extra oomph.
How Does It Wear Throughout The Day?
The Limitless Lash mascara nourishes each lash while keeping lashes lifted throughout the day. It is also flake-resistant and is safe for sensitive eyes. It didn’t flake on me at all. I held up great throughout the day. I was impressed with the overall longevity of it.
Conclusion: Which Ilia Mascara is Better?
If I had to choose just one mascara, I would choose the Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara. It’s just a great everyday mascara that is easy to use and not only gives lashes some volume but also length. You get the best of both worlds!

These both made my eyes water and itch. I’m usually not sensitive to mascaras either. The limitless lash wand I scratched my eye with it also. Not once, but twice. You have to be careful when applying because one side juts out longer than the other side.
