About The Brand
LolaVie is a hair care brand that launched in 2021 and the founder is none other than Jennifer Aniston. Talk about famous hair! But beyond that Jennifer is an entrepreneur that has a love for medical journals, advances in technology and of course beauty and health innovations. Put that all together and you have the makings of a pretty amazing brand.
The vision for the brand is to combine the best of science and nature without sacrificing!
Products Available
Jennifer has had a hand in all the formulations, making sure they live up to her standards. LolaVie is very methodical in the production of new products. There is no rush to get the next best thing to production and they create new products one at a time.
Currently they have the following products:
- Intensive Repair Treatment ($32)
- Restorative Shampoo ($29)
- Restorative Conditioner ($29)
- Glossing Detangler ($26)
- Perfecting Leave-In ($29)
- Lightweight Hair Oil ($32)
- Lolavie Wet Brush Pro Flex Dry ($15)
- Restore & Protect Travel Kit ($40)
Ingredients
LolaVie products are made without silicones, sulfates (SLS/SLES), parabens, gluten and phthalates. They are cruelty free and Leaping Bunny certified.
They also choose to swap out water in their products with bamboo essence. The reason for this is that bamboo is the fastest growing (regenerating) land plant. So instead of using our clean water supply for their products, LolaVie chooses to use bamboo essence instead.
The especially great part about this is that it would otherwise be discarded. LolaVie is instead using it as an active (and sustainable) ingredient in their formulations.
There are a couple of ingredients that caught my eye and are worth mentioning: ( I did email them and ask about these ingredients to get more clarification, but they didn’t reply).
Cocamidopropyl Betaine- This can cause allergic reactions in some and contact dermatitis. It’s not the actual ingredient but the processing of it and the by-products it produces. However, it depends on the sources. High quality sources of Cocamidopropyl Betaine don’t contain the by-products. Important to look into sourcing. (Found in shampoo)
Behenamidopropyl Dimethylamine- This is more of a concern if it’s left on the skin. However, this is found in the conditioner and you’re rinsing it off. The concern is allergic and sensitivity to the eyes.
Behentrimonium Methosulfate- This ingredient has been linked to low toxicity, however I think the way the product is used should determine how much is actually being absorbed. Overall, you’re washing the product off since this is found in the Intensive Repair Treatment. (This can also be found in the Perfecting Leave-In).
Packaging
Another way that LolaVie is decreasing their impact on the environment is with recyclable packaging. Before throwing out any packaging, limit your impact on the environment by checking how to best recycle it.

Overall, the Intensive Repair Treatment was rated a 4.3 /5 with 25 current reviews. Here is what some of the customers are saying:
I use this instead of conditioner after shampooing . A little goes a long way. My hair feels strong and soft and silky!
I’ve been using intensive repair treatment by LolaVie for a month now and I’m very happy with the result. My hair is stronger, healthier and with an intense shine. The result is surprising and instantaneous!
I was so excited to try the intensive repair treatment but it left a horrible residue on my hair. I followed the recommendation and used the restoration conditioner after the intensive repair but when I dried my hair it just looked like it needed to be washed again. So disappointed
Review
This is way too heavy for my fine/thin hair, but for someone with damaged and very dry hair it would be a great option to moisturize and hydrate. It just left my hair greasy and limp.

Love it. My hair doesn’t feel dry anymore
My hair had become dry, dull and unmanageable. Tried the shampoo and detangler and saw and felt instant results! My hair is now so soft, styles so much easier and looks much healthier and shinier!
This is the best shampoo! Great lather and feels clean
I liked this shampoo at first because it really feels cleansing but I think it’s far to drying. I only wash my hair twice a week so I don’t over-wash. Even my hair dresser said my hair felt more dry.
Review
I was impressed with the shampoo lather, it gives a great lather. My hair felt clean, but also nourished. It doesn’t make your hair feel stripped or dry, yet I wasn’t feeling like my hair was weighed down either. My hair didn’t easily get greasy either. I was impressed with the performance overall!

Overall, the Restorative Conditioner was rated a 4.2 /5 with 263 current reviews. Here is what some of the customers are saying:
It tames the frizz and leaves my hair soft and manageable without feeling heavy. It rinses out well so my hair just feels soft and clean.
I love the consistency of this conditioner, it’s like moisturizer for the hair! Helps so much with my dry frizzy hair.
The Restorative Conditioner alone is a game-changer. It has absolutely transformed my hair in subtle yet noticeable ways. Pairing it with Jen’s Shampoo has only enhanced the goodness.
I dilute the conditioner with water. Otherwise my thick, coarse hair is oily and limp.
Review
This is a great conditioner that feels super nourishing but doesn’t weigh down the hair. It was rich enough to hydrate but light enough to keep my hair from feeling limp.

Overall, the Glossing Detangler was rated a 4.8 /5 with 1483 current reviews. Here is what some of the customers are saying:
The Glossing Detangler really does what it says….my hair is never tangled, still my same baby fine hair but it’s now tangle free with minimal breakage and high gloss and no crazy scent!! Best ever product!
First time use on my daughters wet hair was a breeze, she has wavy, easily tangled hair. Sprayed a generous amount and the brush went through with ease. I enjoy the smell, it’s a clean refreshing smell.
My hair is quite fine and highlighted. It gets tangled pretty easily. I’m still unsure if this has really worked that well for me but will continue trying it!
Review
I loved this detangler. As someone with fine/thin hair I’m always looking for a detangler that adds some shine and helps me comb out my tangly hair. This one did the job so well! I spritz it on the ends of my hair and comb through and then after blow drying I’m left with smooth hair that doesn’t feel weighed down.
This has been such a great product to use in my daughter’s hair too! I have two daughters with lots of hair now and this is perfect for spritzing in their hair after shampooing to help detangle and comb through. It doesn’t feel super heavy but leaves an amazing shine to it! I really love the weight of the product. So many detanglers can feel super heavy, not this one.

Overall, the Perfecting Leave-In was rated a 4.6 /5 with 716 current reviews. Here is what some of the customers are saying:
I am so satisfied from the leave in conditioner, it restored my hair, my hair is now in the best condition it has ever been!!
This makes my hair feel smooth and silky, not greasy.
My hair is so soft, easy to style and stays looking fresh thanks to this leave in.
There’s so much hype, I really expected magic. My bad. I have frizzy hair… and I am still on the hunt to find something to tame it. I used it exactly as directed, in conjunction with the glossing detangler, and the frizz was still there.
Review
This feels heavier than the Detangler. I actually loved this on my daughter’s hair as well because their hair had gotten so dried out from the summer heat and being in and out of the water. This is really helped bring it back to life! Their hair was starting to feel like straw and I added this on it and it helped revitalize it and add tons of hydration. Not super heavy but definitely more weight to it than the detangler.

Overall, the Glossing Detangler was rated a 4.7 /5 with 167 current reviews. Here is what some of the customers are saying:
This oil is awesome, never leaves your hair oily and my hair is overprocessed with blonde, so I use this oil daily and little goes a long way. Try it, you will love it.
This is my new favorite hair oil . It just gives the perfect amount of shine without being too oily. It has a lovely soft scent.
This don’t seem to be doing anything for my dyed gray hair.. the smell is great, and not oily.
Review
This is a great oil for moisturizing hair and adding some life and shine back to it. It doesn’t make the hair greasy or oily. You just need a little bit of the product. I did a pea size amount, rub it through my hands and then applied to the mid-shaft and down to the ends. I just used this on my two daughter’s hair. One has curly/frizzy hair and I applied it after drying to calm the frizz and add some shine. For my other daughter with lots of fine hair, it was great to add some smoothness after blow drying. I found it to be too heavy for my fine/thin hair. The scent was really light and not overpowering.

I was impressed by all the LolaVie products. They really performed and reminded me of salon worthy hair products. Often there is so much hype about celebrity products that it’s hard to know until you try them, however, LolaVie really lived up to the hype.

Hi Terri,
I apologize for the confusion! I can see where you would think that. It was a typo error when we were copying it from our rough draft. I did in fact use the product and knew that it wasn’t a spray. I also have used the products on my sister and specifically the Perfecting Leave In and it works wonders. Again, I apologize for the typo and misleading you!
Hey! I’m relatively new to your site, but I have loved your articles about clean beauty. I am currently using the Innersense Shampoo and Conditioner that you mentioned in the article. I like it and my hair has slowly reduced oil over time but does still produce more than I’d like. I don’t want to completely sacrifice clean product for performance. Between overall performance and how “green/clean” the product is, would you still vouch for Innersense over this product line?
Hi Brooke,
I still love Innersense! I like their Clarity line for my fine/thin hair. I don’t think LolaVie is an unclean line, maybe not as clean as Innersense. Have you tried different shampoos and conditioners from Innsersense? There might be one that is better suited to your hair type?
