Ogee

Ogee is a brand that is all about luxury. Founded in 2014 with the first products being launched in 2016, they are committed to high performance products that are also multi-functional.

And it doesn’t stop there. They also are providing an organic collection that is certified by NSF.

The NSF “contains organic ingredients” standard is the only American National Standard for personal care products making organic ingredient claims.” (source

This requires a minimum of 70% organic ingredients in a formulation.

Their sourcing involves finding the most potent ingredients that nature can provide – scouring the globe to find the best of the best. This has resulted in some of the most powerful plant based ingredients being used. The products that they have created are described as the following

‘Hydraganics-’  the term that Ogee uses to describe the two most important parts of their product collection: hydrating and organic.

Ogee Contour Collection Application

I wanted to provide a little guidance as to how the Contour Collection is best applied. Follow these easy step by step instructions (note I am using the Crystal Contour Collection).

  1. Start with a bare face.

2. Apply Sculpted Complexion Stick to even skin tone.

4. Apply Rose Quartz Face Stick to apples of the cheeks.

Ogee Makeup Pros and Cons

As with anything, even the best of the best brands, I want to share what I love about the brand as a whole as well as what I didn’t love as much.

Pros

  • Love how dewy and natural my skin looks with it on
  • How clean the formulas are
  • Feels lightweight on my skin/not heavy
  • The longevity of the formulas are great
  • The packaging is really thoughtful and sustainable(they offer refills for some products)
  • Great to travel with since their formulas come in stick and not liquid

Cons

  • Expensive- the foundation stick retails for $64
  • They don’t offer a concealer- while this is nice to just use the foundation stick as a concealer, I think a lot of people might like a concealer as well
  • It takes a little getting used to blending stick formulations.  I find many people need a tutorial first when using the product.
  • I wished they didn’t use canola oil in their product – I did email Ogee to get more details but haven’t hear back yet.
Ogee Makeup Color Swatches
I saw one review on Ogee that stated that the colors weren’t what they thought- so I wanted to include swatches of their product colors.

Final Thoughts On Ogee Makeup

I really love how they’ve created a whole system for Ogee.  It makes it so much easier to use all their products because they’re all sticks.  I love how dewy and natural my skin looks after using them.  Plus, they feel so natural on the skin too.
