Ogee
Ogee is a brand that is all about luxury. Founded in 2014 with the first products being launched in 2016, they are committed to high performance products that are also multi-functional.
And it doesn’t stop there. They also are providing an organic collection that is certified by NSF.
The NSF “contains organic ingredients” standard is the only American National Standard for personal care products making organic ingredient claims.” (source)
This requires a minimum of 70% organic ingredients in a formulation.
Their sourcing involves finding the most potent ingredients that nature can provide – scouring the globe to find the best of the best. This has resulted in some of the most powerful plant based ingredients being used. The products that they have created are described as the following
‘Hydraganics-’ the term that Ogee uses to describe the two most important parts of their product collection: hydrating and organic.

This is my favorite foundation stick I’ve used in clean beauty. It goes on smoothly and looks so natural but still provides great coverage. It really hits all the marks. Even looks great later in the day- holds up well. I wear the color Linen.

“I love the subtle bronze tint it gives to my skin and it blends in really easily.”
“I use this as a staple, whether it is for daytime, casual or an evening out. It goes on smooth, stays all day and love the clean ingredients!”
“The colors do not suit me, but you can’t tell that from online shopping. This is oil based and is rather greasy on my face.”
Review
These are so creamy and give the perfect dewiness to the skin. I love that it not only offers some color but looks more natural because it’s a cream. It blends so well into the skin. The color Rose Quartz is the perfect everyday rose hue. I use a brush to pick up the cream and then apply to my skin in round strokes.
Opal is a true white shimmer and acts as a highlighter for your skin. I would swipe this on using the stick wherever I wanted a little highlight and then blend with my fingers or brush. The name does mention “white shimmer” but it definitely isn’t a traditional white shimmer that you might think of. More subtle and dewy.
For a sunkissed tan look, I got the color Amber. It gives such a nice glow to the skin and really enhances your look overall. I love how natural it looks and easy to blend. It gives a dewiness as well with it, which really kicks it up a notch. Your skin shows through without hiding it!
I also got the color Copper. This is a deeper bronze color than Amber. It imparts more of a cocoa tone to it. It also has a slight shimmer or dewiness as I like to say in the formula. I prefer this color in the summer when I’m naturally darker and then the Amber in the winter when my skin is a bit paler.

“Great color, love that it’s moist and easy to apply.”
“This lip oil is so moisturizing and has just the right amount of color for a soft natural look. Will definitely be repurchasing.”
“Feels nice and moisturizing but the color barely shows. It doesn’t look like the models on your website. Disappointed for sure.”
Review
This lip oil is so nourishing! It feels like a lip balm with color. I find I almost don’t even need to wear a lip balm when I have this because it feels so moisturizing on the lips. They have a subtle hint of peppermint to the formula which I love. Total mint lover over here! The colors aren’t highly pigmented, which is nice. You get more depending on the color, but they’re a lot more sheer overall. Don’t expect a lipstick/opaque look when using them. Soft and subtle for the pigment. These are so easy to wear and great for everyday use. I have the colors Rosalia (rose blush) and Petunia (sheer blush).

“Beautiful color and lovely on your lips!!”
“The color is gorgeous!! It goes on so smooth…it feels like velvet on my lips”
“Color is accurately pictured, product is moisturizing, tasteless and I love the refillable cartridge concept. The finish is a little too matte for my liking and I have to add a little gloss over the top.“
Review
These lipsticks are also more nourishing for a lipstick formula. They aren’t as moisturizing as the Lip Oils but still more than a lot of lipstick formulas. They are not as opaque as a traditional lipstick, but more of a medium opacity. I really like how they aren’t as thick actually, I find they stay better and I don’t have creasing. I typically wear a lip liner with lipstick but found I didn’t feel like I had to with these. Love that they don’t use artificial dyes in them and that they come with a refillable container. I have the colors Zuri (magenta) and Santana (cherry red). They both are great everyday colors in my opinion. The Santana is definitely a bit bolder being a red but I love it!

Ogee Contour Collection Application
I wanted to provide a little guidance as to how the Contour Collection is best applied. Follow these easy step by step instructions (note I am using the Crystal Contour Collection).

- Start with a bare face.
2. Apply Sculpted Complexion Stick to even skin tone.

3. Trace hallows of the cheekbones and anywhere you want to contour with Copper Face Stick.
4. Apply Rose Quartz Face Stick to apples of the cheeks.

5. Highlight the top of the cheekbones with Opal Stick (I am also wearing the Rosalia Lip Oil)
Ogee Makeup Pros and Cons
As with anything, even the best of the best brands, I want to share what I love about the brand as a whole as well as what I didn’t love as much.
Pros
- Love how dewy and natural my skin looks with it on
- How clean the formulas are
- Feels lightweight on my skin/not heavy
- The longevity of the formulas are great
- The packaging is really thoughtful and sustainable(they offer refills for some products)
- Great to travel with since their formulas come in stick and not liquid
Cons
- Expensive- the foundation stick retails for $64
- They don’t offer a concealer- while this is nice to just use the foundation stick as a concealer, I think a lot of people might like a concealer as well
- It takes a little getting used to blending stick formulations. I find many people need a tutorial first when using the product.
- I wished they didn’t use canola oil in their product – I did email Ogee to get more details but haven’t hear back yet.

Final Thoughts On Ogee Makeup
I really love how they’ve created a whole system for Ogee. It makes it so much easier to use all their products because they’re all sticks. I love how dewy and natural my skin looks after using them. Plus, they feel so natural on the skin too.
