MATE the Label is a brand that makes all the essentials when it comes to clothing.
The founder and CEO, Kayti Carr, first started reselling vintage t-shirts and over the years the brand has evolved to what it is today. As she learned more about sustainability, the toxins involved in the clothing industry and even ethical production methods, she knew she needed to pivot her business model.
MATE removed synthetics from the line and began using organic cotton and even dyes that were ‘low impact.’ And now, just a handful of years later, they continue to make the cleanest product possible from ‘seed to skin.’

Here are some of my favorite MATE clothing:
Organic Fleece Oversized Sweatshirt: I have two of them in different colors and I wear them constantly. It’s perfect oversized sweatshirt. It’s not fitted but has a nice silhouette and give so it’s not hugging the parts of your body you don’t want it too. It washes well and has held up great. Perfect for layering over a t-shirt or under a jacket. It is great for over leggings too or slightly tucked in the front.
Organic Fleece Cardigan: The fit is so great. It’s cozy and warm. So easy to throw on and go. It can be dressed up or down too which is nice. I am wearing a small. It definitely runs larger, so I would size down if you’re between sizes. You can also belt it too to add a little more sophistication. Another winner!
Organic Cotton Classic Tee: These t-shirts are another item that I can’t get enough of! They fit so well and go with everything. I have them in several colors. Great tucked in or left out. Dressed up or down. I have them in a size medium. I like my t-shirts a little larger and not tight and so a medium is perfect. Can’t recommend them enough!
Organic Cotton Layering Tank: The layering tank is so easy to wear. From wearing it underneath clothes, or wearing it by itself- it looks good with so many things. I even love wearing it to bed. I like that it’s not heavy either, so easy to tuck into jeans or skirts. I find myself looking for this to layer so often, it’s the perfect fit and material. Another fave!
Organic Fleece Half Zip Sweatshirt: This is my newest addition to my MATE collection and I’ve already worn it too much! It’s such a wearable item. I love that it can be a little up leveled with a long jacket, or can be totally dressed down too with leggings. It’s soft and cozy. I have the color Bone, but just bought the Heather Grey color for a friend!
